Well this is a bit of an experiment ! I hope you like it!
I Do NOT own Percy Jackson or the Gods (its more like the gods own me...)
"I'm so bored," Aphrodite groaned dramatically. "There really isn't ANYTHING exiting happening."
Aphrodite was right for once, nothing exiting was happening. The giant war had been and gone leaving the earth in peace for once. After all that, it was left the gods very, well fidgety really.
It was the god's annual meeting at Olympus, discussing any problems or events that had accrued in the year or any problems that needed changing. It was a tradition to stay for twelve hours, ever since they had taken over and became gods that had been the rule. The only person that had got away with not being there was Poseidon, because he was fixing up his water castle that had been badly damaged by the war. Athena had to leave an hour through as well; just to check defences and help re-build Olympus. Since there's was nothing that anyone had to say apart from Artimis saying she needed more hunters, it was a little dead on conversation.
Every stared at each other, trying to think of things to say.
Aphrodite examined her nails, picking at them slightly.
Zeus looked at the weavings behind all the thrones, twitching his foot. Hermes was whistling to a tune he was tapping his fingers.
"I know!" perked up Aphrodite "let's have a little fun!"
"Uh oh!" Sighed Hermes
"What's wrong?" Zeus frowned.
"Well every time Aphrodite says," He said the next bit in a high pitched voice, imitating Aphrodite "'let's have a little fun' It means something to do with love and experiments and it almost always ends in disaster."
"Aww come on Hermes, Helen and troy wasn't really my fault, they were destined to go that way anyway."
"So what is your idea?" Hera intercepted.
A big smile glistened on Aphrodite's face. "Well…"
"Oh no!" Hermes shook his head.
Shooting him a icy look, Aphrodite ignored him and kept on going.
"….I've had this idea for a while….."
"Don't let her tell you" Hermes chanted over Aphrodite.
This time she ignored him entirely and kept on going.
"But the giant war got in the way at the time…"
Here she goes…" Hermes rolled his eyes.
"As love is obviously my area,"
"Yeah love and cursing people." Someone muttered
Ignoring that comment she contined.
"And I'm sure it will be interesting to watch…"
"See that," Hermes stood up "Is not a good sign."
Zeus sighed "Just get to the point Aphrodite, and Hermes, stop interrupting."
Aphrodite smiled a sweet victory look over to Hermes.
"Well, we can do an experiment. With love."
"With love?" Ares puzzled,
"Well, as people say these days, duh!"
"With who?" Zeus demanded
"I must go, everyone, don't get yourselves in too much trouble while im gone." Cut in athena, rushing off.
If only she knew.
Looking to see if Athena had gone she whispered,
"Percy and Annabeth."
