This happens a month after Mickey's Epic adventure in The Wasteland and reuniting with Oswald.

A MERRY OZZIE CHRISTMAS By Swarlock

It had only been a month before he was back in The Real Toon World. Some things took getting used to at first. But the rabbit adapted to his new surrounding a lot quicker than Mickey thought.

He figured Oswald would be very frightened by the way The Toon World had changed. Still he gave his brother the benefit of the doubt. On Christmas Eve he invited all of his closest friends including Ozzie's as well.

Putting on his signature smile he tapped on his glass to quiet down the guests sitting at the long dinner table.

"I'd like to make a toast. Here's to our continuing success in The Franchise we belong to," Mickey said. "I know this hasn't been too good a year for some of our up and coming risers." He looked at Tiana and Naveen specifically. "But know that you're being here makes a world of difference." They were happy to hear that.

"And let me congratulate our newest stars for their dedication to the job," he said to Rapunzel and Eugene sitting towards the far end.

"Now before we dig in to the food and get into The Christmas Carol singing and presents. I'd like to also say how wonderful it is to finally have another member in our big family - especially mine who has come a long way to be here," Mickey said looking at Oswald proudly.

He then took out a DVD disc and inserted it into the slot of the player behind him on the big screen TV that rose up from the floor.

"I was rummaging through my film collection and had one special one to share with all of you. No doubt you already know that our side of the Toon world has seen its share of ups and downs, our fans sometimes take us for granted because we're not like our competitors. We may stray from time to time but that's how life is whether we acknowledge it or not. We know like all things the past can't be changed. And revisting it is sometimes painful," Mickey said in one breath.

"I was a little concerned about how my Brother could handle the changes since he's been back as I watched this piece the other day. I stumbled upon this which caught me by surprise. Wait until the end of the credits to see what I discovered."

There was a moment of silence and then a familar face flashed across the TV screen.

"Hello. I'm Walt Disney. By now my second creation Mickey Mouse has found this film while looking into his past."

The movie detailed everything that had happen to Disney over the last several years up to the point before Mickey and Oswald's "Dad" passed away.

After the credits rolled there was silence once more and then Walt appeared with one last thing to say.

"Around here, however, we don t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."

The film ended and the lights came up.

"It occured to me that no matter what transpires for us as toons. We'll always have the promise of a great big beautiful tomorrow regardless of what any fan or critic tells us," Mickey said. "That also includes my future days with my brother Oswald. Merry Christmas, everybody."

The toons at The Dining table cheered and clapped loudly because they knew he was right.

And somewhere in The Heavens, Walt and his Brother Roy and nephew Roy Jr. and Ub Iwerks smiled.
