So I think outside the box a lot; and I feel for the Orgy's members. I do. I didn't even want to kill half of them! Xaldin, I did want to kill, AND LARXENE, but not most of the others.
There's two sides to every story, yeah?
So, here's a before-Sora-came-and-destroyed-everything moment between Xiggybars and DemDem.
Ah, music. What a wonderful thing it was, really. It brought out your emotions, desires, and your ability to work with your fingers. Okay, that last one wasn't very poetic, but it was true. If anyone else had heard this, they'd be getting dirty images in their head when 'fingers' was mentioned.
Not Demyx, though. He was way too innocent, or maybe just plain stupid to think something naughty. It was nice, in a way, how adorably clueless he was even in this harsh excuse for existence.
Xigbar sighed. He usually went to the Melodious Nocturne for a brief relief, something to take his mind off of the general depression that followed him and everyone of their little organization. Demyx, who had a thing for referring to everyone and everything with pet names, called it 'The Orgy' once. He couldn't for the life of him figure out why Xigbar, Luxord and even Xaldin had laughed so hard at that, Xigbar mused. Demyx did, if nothing else, at least bring some illusion of life into the hollow corridors of the castle.
Although for some reason had had a feeling (ha, ha) that it wouldn't last much longer.
Always with his ears to the ground and his eyes in every corner, Xigbar had overheard about who was going to the next mission to fend off the ever-approaching Keyblade wielder.
They knew Demyx wasn't their best fighter. They knew this Keyblade-kid was tougher than they'd originally planned. They had stronger members to fight the kid, dammit, why was Demyx going to be sent to his doom?
Somehow Xigbar just knew this wouldn't go well.
"Xiggy? You alright?" Demyx tugged Xigbar out of his brooding thoughts, making him realize he'd been staring into nothing with a scowl on his face.
It was a shame; he really did like this kid.
"Can you play Hallelujah?" Xigbar avoided the younger member's question with one of his own.
"Huh? Where'd that come from?"
"I thinkā¦I used to like it. Back when I was Somebody, ya'know?"
Demyx nodded thoughtfully, testing out the strings of his darkness-formed instrument, finding the right notes and grips. In a moment the fingers were dancing over the sitar, spilling out rivers of tones and resentful scales. Demyx even added in the singing, with his crystal-clear voice, and for a moment, Xigbar could have sworn he had a heart that was beating in the same, sad rhythm as the song.
Demyx filled the room with his magic and Xigbar sat back and listened, treasuring this moment that could well be the last peaceful one within the castle walls.
A storm was coming.
I have this tendency to love characters that don't even have much to do with the story. Fx, the Organization XII members. Especially Xigbar. I mean, he has an Eyepacth, scars, long silvery hair, he's cocky and mocking, scarred, and he's a gunslinger. And he's an older kind of guy.
How awesome can one be?
I like XigDem friendship. C:
