This is another pairing I'm super surprised there isn't more for. Since these are mostly just drabbles, I don't expect a ton of reviews. I just like writing for them. Thanks for reading anyway. :)
Toph narrowed her eyes suspiciously, arm looped through her escort's. She had thought a nice stroll around town might take her mind off of things. This trip, however, was proving to be a little harder on the nerves than she'd expected.
Her teeth gritted, like an over protective dog. And she'd probably stayed a little too long in the sun. It was hot enough without having to drag this fancy, foo foo lady dress around while she was playing representative, but the sound of feminine giggling was making her neck burn with jealous anger.
She had suspected for a while, but not really inquired. She wouldn't usually care. Today was different. And it was his fault, anyway.
"Would you say, Haru, you're an attractive man?" she asked bluntly, squeezing herself closer and staring straight ahead, bare, hem covered feet doing the seeing for her. He blinked and raised an eyebrow.
"Uh…"
"You shaved, didn't you," she growled. "This wouldn't be happening if you had your ugly, ratty beard still…"
He glowered at her. "My beard was not ugly. And how can you tell?"
"When we walk by, all the women stop walking and their heart beats flutter and feel annoying," she spat. "It's disgusting."
He narrowed his green eyes, then rolled them knowingly.
"If I carried you it would probably be less annoying for you."
"I'm quite certain that if you know what's good for your pretty boy face, you'll do no such thing, bucko."
