"Hey Moon, you better get up if you want to get your first Pokémon!", Moon's mother yelled.
Moon is a 10-year-old boy from the Kanto region, who lived with his mother and a Meowth.
"Coming Mom!" Moon responded, getting out of his bed and running down the stairs. "Hi Mom. What's for dinner?"
"You will have to eat this Tiny Mushroom to make sure you get a Pokémon."
"OK Mom, see ya in a bit!" And with that, Moon left to Iki Town.
On the way, he saw many trainers with their Pokémon and he thought, I'm going to be the best trainer there ever was. Maybe even better than Garry Oak.
Finally, he reached Iki Town. And their stood his cousin Professor Kukui.
"Hey couz!", he yelled. "We're just getting started."
Finally, Moon thought, I can get my first Pokémon!
The Professor then called out the Pokémon out of their Pokéballs.
"Come on out Popplio, Rowlet, and Litten!" There sat the Pokémon, just waiting to be chosen.
"So, who do you choose?" said Professor Kukui.
