Jackson is my original character, but I don't own CSI.

Once again, a story inspired by my family. A little frog came into my house, so I wondered how Jackson would react if that happened to him. So here's what I came up with. Please read and review!

Like many kids, Jackson Sanders loved to play outside. So he and his father Greg were playing in their backyard one Saturday afternoon. Jackson loved to look for bugs and play with his daddy, so they were laughing and playing while Morgan cooked dinner.

"Guys, don't forget to wipe your feet!" Morgan called when Greg and Jackson started to come in.

"Mama, it not raining anymore," Jackson said.

"No," Morgan said. "But it was early this morning. I don't want you tracking mud all through the house."

Jackson was about to shut the door when he saw something on the wall. He pulled Greg over. "Daddy, lookit!"

Greg smiled when he saw the little tree frog. "Oh, yeah. He must have come in when we left the door open."

"Oh," Jackson said softly. "He cute!"

"Yeah," Greg said as he gently picked up the frog. "It's okay," he whispered.

Morgan smiled softly. "I think he likes you guys."

Jackson tentatively reached out his hand. "Can I touch him?"

"Sure," Greg said. "Very gently."

Jackson gently touched the frog's back. "He kinda slimy!"

"He is? That's just how frogs are," Greg said with a warm smile. He loved watching Jackson with the frog and just enjoyed the simple moment with his son.

Jackson carefully looked at the frog. "I bet you a good jumper, cause dat's what my teacher said when we read a book about froggies."

The frog seemed to relax as Jackson looked him over. Then he decided he'd had enough and hopped off Greg's hand.
Jackson and Greg giggled, but Morgan shrieked. "Guys, get him!" She said as Greg tried to grab him.

"Dere he is!" Jackson shouted when he saw the frog sitting by the door.

Greg laughed softly. "I got him." He picked up the frog and he and Jackson took him outside. "It's okay, little frog," Greg whispered.

"Yeah, it okay," Jackson said. "I like you, little froggie, even dough you eat bugs."

Greg laughed softly. "Where'd you learn that, Jacks?

"My teacher told me. She said froggies can catch flies with dere tongue, like dis." Jackson stuck his tongue in and out.

Greg smiled and softly laughed. "Yeah, they do."

"Can we put him in da tree, daddy?" Jackson asked as he pointed to a small tree in their yard.

"Sure," Greg said. "I think he'd like that."

Jackson and Greg walked to the tree and Greg carefully set the frog on a branch.

"Here you go," Greg whispered as he set the frog down. The frog immediately hopped to another branch.

Jackson giggled. "He likes it! He likes it, daddy!"

Greg smiled and lifted Jackson into his arms so he could watch the frog. "Yeah, looks like he does. You picked a good spot, Jacks."

Jackson smiled as the frog sunned himself on a branch. "Daddy, froggies are cool even dough dey eat bugs!"

"Yeah," Greg said as he hugged Jackson close. "But I think you're cooler."

Jackson giggled and happily hugged his daddy. "You cooler too."

The End.
