"Weapons free" Captain Bomber said into the mic. He waited until he got the double click back before shooting the guard in the chest the same time as Demo's shot hit the other guard in the head.
"Nice shot he commented to the sergeant as he moved up to check the pulses of the two guards they had shot. Both were dead. "The cliff should be one click straight ahead, " Bomber, said."
"ok" Demo, replied.
They reached the cliff only meeting only one pair of guards - taking them silently as they had done to every other group they had seen over the last hour – on the way. Once they reached the cliff, they pulled out their ice-picks and started their long climb to the top where the train track was.
Once they were nearing the top of what felt like the worlds tallest mountain the duo saw the train going slow about 200 metres away on the narrow mountain pass. As if on cue an explosion of some sort came from the second last carriage ripping it in half, the driver slammed on the breaks but they were no use as the break fluid leaked from the exploded carriage. A few seconds later the last carriage and half the second last one flew off and down the mountain.
Bomber was so startled by the explosion that he let go of one ice-pick and let go of the wall with his feet. He reacted quickly swinging his spiky-toed boots into the wall of ice steadying himself, but Demo wasn't so lucky, he slid down the cliff but managed to get a hold with his pick-axe's.
"Bomber HELP!" shouted an extremely worried Demo.
"its ok I'll help you" Bomber replied knowing the true fate of his friend.
Just as bomber was within 10 metres of his ally the train was completely derailed and what was left of the second last carriage swung down and hit him from his already unstable perch.
Bomber, who had a split second decision to make jumped onto the train via the third last carriages door and grabbed onto a seat looked down but saw nothing and only heard a vague scream over the layers on his ears and the howl of the wind. "Sorry my friend" he murmured.
Bomber realised that he had to get a message out, so he climbed up the carriages to the to the top where the driver should have been – he'd obviously ran away when the train derailed- and pulled out his mini satellite laptop. From there he used his laptop to E-mail Baseplate, and then got ready for an attack by the enemy that was surly imminent hoping that his team had got the message on time.
Stealth walkedinto Baseplate command centre and up to Colonel Grace. The Colonel looked over at Bombers second-in-command and smiled. "You could have had a shower before coming up here, you look shattered".
"I'm OK he said, soooo, what did you call me up here for? "
"We have received a message from Coach, apparently Bomber and Demo never came back from the Intel collecting".
"And you want me to take some men and find them"?
"Basically" Grace smiled "take a three man team, pick up Coach and find me those missing soldiers".
"I'll take Torch and Slowpoke" he said "and commandeer a medical chopper just in case we need it, though I hope not".
"I too, stealth."
"I'll print off a map of Northern Russia will I?" Stealth shouted.
Grace didn't reply he just saluted and walked off, as Stealth gathered his men and weapons.
