Hello, and welcome back to another piece dedicated to my creation. This fanfiction will be strongly inspired by another narrative by the same name. It was a suggestion page on another website, with the user Sprocket/Sprocket3. Essentially, I assumed that he/she wanted a story like this, and I am here to deliver. If you believe that I am committing plagiarism, please let me know and I will delete the entire thing. But, this is going to be something different. It will be rated T for language and violence. I hope you enjoy. Please give me your thoughts. Cheers!

Chapter 1: Hopeless Beginnings

The late September morning was a bit more dread-filled in Royal Woods, Michigan. The early autumn sky breezed with wisping winds, the browned and reddened leaves flowing with them. The trees were a mayhem of bare and full while the floors of grass, sidewalk, and concrete piled with orange leaves; leaves were always an issue during the fall. October was rolling in, so people set out to buy decorations for all hollows eve—some snobby family already put up theirs. People do have the tendency to overachieve from time to time.

People also make rash decisions; and it's one decision that a certain loud family will make, that will judge their future entirely. The Loud house looked a bit more mundane than usual. Yes, there were aged toys scattering the yard as much as the damn leaves, but it was quiet. Too quiet for comfort. The neighborhood struck confusion from the absence of sound; they silently hoped a day like this would actually come; but to hear it now was so foreign. They all silently wondered what could be going on in that anomaly of a house.

Lucy Loud was tightly hugging her brother, Lincoln, while sobbing and crying miserably. This couldn't be happening. This can't be happening! She didn't want to lose anyone. She didn't want to lose Luna, Luan or Lana; she didn't want to lose Lisa or Lynn. Most of all, she didn't want to lose Lincoln. He was her light, her inspiration—he protected her from all else like a werewolf defending their cub. He was the warmth to a fire as she was the cold to frigid ice. She needed him, so she could stay warm inside.

Lincoln himself wasn't faring any better. The sole male sibling was trying so hard to hold back tears, but he had to comfort his sister. He would just blink them back away. Still, Lincoln felt like crying. But he couldn't; Lucy needed him to be strong—he had to be strong for all of them. He still couldn't wrap his head around what his parents did. Why they did it. "You wouldn't understand..." they said; understand what? That you're just gonna throw that on your kids like it's nothing?! It definitely not nothing! Sigh. Whatever. It wasn't like he could do anything to stop it—their decision was final. But he had to stay strong.

The crestfallen Loud whispered softly. "Shh, shh... it's okay Lucy. Everything's okay."

Lucy disagreed. "B-But it's not! Mom and d-dad are gonna split us up a-a-and I'll lose you! I'll lose everyone!"

"You won't lose anyone, Lucy. You'll always have me, and I'll always love you. It's okay."

The goth chewed her bottom lip, chin quivering, and clinged tighter to her wonderful and amazing brother. He softly shushed her, all the while petting her silky hair with one hand and the other rested on her back; rubbing lazy circles. It worked.

But Lucy continued to cry.

Lori didn't consider herself the most intuitive person in the world, but now, she had to be. Currently, the eldest daughter was holding a depressed pair—Lana and Lola. It was as if the world was breaking down, but Lori told herself that everything is alright. Everything will literally be fine. Oh, how wrong she was; ever since the big announcement, Lynn and Luna stormed out of the living room. Lisa went back to her room like nothing happened. Luan and Leni stayed in the living room while Lincoln and Lucy were nowhere to be found.

Leni tried desperately to convince her parents to reconsider, but the venture was fruitless. She gave up after they pushed her away. And stayed with Luan in the living room. Luan herself was in complete shock, the lovable prankster just didn't know what to do. And Lori could understand their reactions. First, she'll comfort Lana and Lola more; then, check on the others. Thank God Lily was asleep. She would ask Leni for help, and then the two of them could double team it. Good. All Lori needed was an escape plan.

She cooed to the broken halves. "Hey, hey..., it's okay. It's literally gonna be okay. Guys?"

Their sniffles continued.

"We can get ice cream."

Lana's shoulders shivered while Lola looked Lori in the eye; 'No', the look said. Of course. It was too soon.

Lori offered. "Tell you what, if you two stay here—quietly—then I'll find out a way to work through this. We can do it together?" She ended.

The two blondes nodded meekly to the request.

It was the best thing to ever happen today.

Leni retreated from Lisa and Lily's room. Today was, like, the worst day ever! That, and, Lisa was acting a bit moreover than usual; probably a response to the divorce. Still, Leni tried, like, really hard to get her parents to reconsider but it wasn't gonna to happen. They were too stubborn. She didn't know what to do—maybe Lori had a solution. Lori always had a solution! She had to find her sister.

Most people would break.

But not them.

Never them.

I know this is a bit short, and I apologize for that greatly. I plan to do a double on-tundra with story. Switching chapter lengths from 1 thousand to 2 thousand; maybe even 3 thousand. "Central Intelligence" will come up soon. Again, sorry for the wait. The next "big" story I do will be on Scooby-Doo. Yeah, I know; but consider it a more complicated/darker version of Scooby-Doo. Other than that, all I say is to always stay cool and stay tuned. Cheers!
