Never Been Kissed

Door slammed. Silence.

"aaAAGH!" Stomping. "aaaAAGH!" Shriller this time. He waited for the sigh. There it was.

"Itachi-san?" Kisame wisely exposed only half of himself from behind the doorway. "Are you-"

"No!" He crossed his arms and intensified his glare.

"What's wro-"

"Nothing!" Kisame sighed again. Itachi really wasn't that upset, he was always deadly quiet when he was really upset, he just liked throwing tantrums. This time was no different. He stomped into the living room, unsnapping his robe as he went. The slam of his shoes was audible all the way through his door, down the hallway, through the living room, and to the small entranceway where Kisame still stood. He waited for a crash or screaming session. Silence. Puzzled, Kisame shuffled after his partner, inching the ajar door fully open and sidling in. This time was different. The tantrum was a cover-up for true displeasure but not anger.

"Itachi-san?"

"They went too far this time." There were no tears in the voice. "They can insult my height, my clan, my village, my hair, my jutsu, my eyes, whatever." There was something bitter. "Whatever, I don't care, those aren't really mine, I don't control those, whatever." He slipped his legs off the edge of his small bed. "And just because we're all murderers shouldn't mean…" he stood up, bangs obscuring his face.

"Shouldn't mean what?" His deep breath was visible through the cheap fabric of typical Akatsuki under garments. He sighed.

"Shouldn't mean we can't love or resist love. That's still our own choice, right?"

"What did they say about you?" Itachi stiffened at his partner's hostility.

"It's nothing serious, just…Tobi bit Deidara again today and Hidan started calling it kissing and Deidara realized- I'm only eighteen, I mean there never were…I'm the only one, they deducted, even Zetsu. I'm the only one who's never been…" He turned his gaze slowly up to his partner who was now considerably farther into the room.

"Yes?" He realized blue hands were twining around his waist.

"I've never been…" Soft exhales brushing his slightly parted lips. "Never been…" he shut his eyes and raised his heels, reaching towards the broad shoulders with gentle hands, relaxing against the massive strength of his partner. The grip on his thin body tightened and he felt cold lightness throughout himself, like his stomach had disappeared. He shivered involuntarily and jerked inward. "aah!" he gasped quietly, collapsing into the waiting embrace, staring wide-eyed at the vast sea of Kisame's chest. He closed his eyes and slid his arms down to rest in front of him. His breathing slowed to normal. "I was the only one who'd never been kissed."
