Outside the gates of Konoha
It was a beautiful day when two people could be seen coming down the road to the Konoha village. Both were women, one in her mid-30's, with long red hair, D-cup breasts, and purple eyes. The other around the age of 8 with red hair and purple eyes as well.
"Kaa-san, is that Konoha?" the little girl asked.
"Yes it is Mio, once we get there I want you to be good and be careful, I'm going to drop you off at the park before I go see the Hokage. I'll pick you up after we're done talking then I will take you to see our clan compound," she answered. "Remember to keep your abilities a secret."
"Yes, Kaa-san." By this time they had reached the gates leading into the village where the two guards on duty were keeping watch.
"Greetings, welcome to Konohagakure, what is your business here?" one of them asked.
"I'm here to see Hokage-sama, he's expecting me." the older lady replied.
"All right please sign in before you enter the village," he told her. "If I may ask, who are you for him to be expecting you?"
"My name is Fumiko Uzumaki," she responded. Once she signed both of them in, they headed to the park first where Hana was going to stay and play.
"All right be good and play here until I get back," she told her daughter before leaving.
"Yes, Kaa-san," she replied. As she looked around the park she noticed one girl sitting on the swingset by herself. She was wearing an orange and blue jumpsuit. She looked lonely so she went over to see if she wanted to play.
"Hey, do you want to play?" she asked, surprising the girl.
"Sure, what's your name, I'm Natsumi Uzumaki." the now named girl asked, surprised to find someone who wants to play with her.
"You're an Uzumaki too, my name is Mio Uzumaki."
"If you're an Uzumaki then we must be related. We got to tell my Jiji he sure will be surprised," she said. Before she could respond, she was dragged along with her.
Hokage tower
"Hokage-sama, you have someone wanting to see you, they say you're expecting them. She says her name is Fumiko Uzumaki." the secretary said.
"Ler her in and put all other appointments on hold until we're done here," he ordered. At her nod, she stepped back and let Fumiko in before shutting it behind her. Once the door was closed the Hokage activated a security seal on his desk. "Fumiko-san, it's great to see you again. What brings you to Konoha this time?"
"It's good to see you to Sarutobi-sama, I figured its about time to settle down, plus I've decided to raise Natsumi-chan to be what she is meant to be," she responded.
"Well I think that is acceptable but you do realize once the council hears about this they will want to activate the Clan Restoration Act, you will also have to take the Uzumaki seat until Natsumi-chan can take it," he told her. "I will have to call a council meeting tomorrow to let them know you finally decided to come back and stay. It will be at 7 so you better be here by then."
"That's fine, but I would like to see them try to put the CRA on any of us," she said with a determined look in her eyes. Once the meeting was over with, Sarutobi deactivated the security seal, but as soon as he did that the door flew open showing Mio and Natsumi.
"Jiji, I found a new friend she says her last name is Uzumaki too," she told him.
"Natsumi-chan I see you found your cousin Mio-chan, this here is her Kaa-san Fumiko-chan. You will be living with them from now on," he informed her.
"You knew about them, why didn't you tell me about them?" Natsumi asked, which surprised Fumiko who thought she would know of them.
"Natsumi-chan do you mean to tell me you didn't know about us?" Fumiko asked. When she saw her shake her head she had a suspicion rise up in her. "Do you know about the Uzumaki clan that you come from at least."
"What do you mean by Uzumaki clan?" she asked confused.
When Fumiko heard this she knew her suspicion was confirmed, so she turned to look at Sarutobi with a furious look in her eyes which caused him to start sweating. "Sarutobi-sama why is it that you haven't told her anything about the Uzumaki clan?" she asked.
"I was going to wait until she was a Chunin before I told her about it," he answered.
"I want you to give me all the scrolls that are meant to be for her and I will tell her about the clan and everything else. You got it Sarutobi-sama." She ordered. All he did was nod as he got up and walked over to the picture of the Fourth Hokage. As he moved it to the side you could see a storage seal behind it which he activated, spitting out several scrolls. He gave them to Fumiko before sitting back down.
"Why don't you girls go outside for now I'll be there in a minute," Fumiko told the girls. After they walked out she looked back at Sarutobi with a serious look in her eyes. "So she is the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki, how badly has it been for her?" she asked.
"You know how bad they are treated. I tried hiding it but someone on the council still leaked the information to the village. Last week was the last time they did anything to her and the worst. She is still shaken up by it from what I'm told." he answered.
"What do you mean? What happened last week that she would still be shaken up by it today?" she asked with a worried look on her face.
"Last week after pranking the ANBU headquarters she was escaping them after being caught in the act when she ran into a group of drunken villagers. They surrounded her and attacked her, ripping her clothes. When the ANBU found her she was naked with some of the men getting ready to rape her before they intervened. Right now they're spending quality time with Ibiki and Anko." he informed with pain in his voice.
He lifted his head when he heard her fist break through the wall and saw the fury in her eyes. "Sarutobi-sama how is she on a physical level?" she asked him.
"Other than bruises and broken bones she never had anything worse happen until what was going to happen that night. As of right now, she is a fully healthy Uzumaki just like you and Mio-chan," he answered.
"That good, well then I'll be off then I'm getting hungry and I still got to show them the clan compound," she informed him. When she walked out she saw them both sitting on the couch talking wildly with each other before noticing her.
"Let's go you two I'm getting hungry plus I need to go shopping and show you the clan compound," she told them. "Natsumi-chan, do you know any good places to grab a quick bite since its getting late?"
"I know the perfect place follow me it's not that far," she told them as they were walking out of the tower. It only took them a few minutes to get to where they were heading. "This here is Ichiraku Ramen the best place to get food in the village," she informed them.
As they walked in the could see two people working, one male around his late thirties, and a female around the age of fourteen cooking and serving the food to customers. When the girl looked up to and saw Natsumi she called out to her dad.
"Natsumi-chan, I was wondering when you would get here, who are your friends?" he asked coming out from the kitchen.
"Hey Jiji, this here is my cousin Mio-chan and her Kaa-san Fumiko-sama. They just arrived in the village," she told him.
"Cousin? I didn't know you had any family Natsumi-chan why didn't you tell me?" he asked.
"Well, I didn't know either until today," she answered.
"This here is my daughter Ayame Ichiraku by the way, I'm Teuchi Ichiraku. What can I get for you three then?" he asked.
"Give us the Miso one," Fumiko ordered. "We're on a tight schedule so we can't stay for too long."
"All right, three Miso coming up."
"So Natsumi-chan how have you been since I last saw you a week ago?" Ayame asked. "You haven't been by here."
"I've been good, just too busy with my pranks to come by," she responded while looking down, remembering what happened a week ago.
"So how did you guys meet Natsumi-chan?" Fumiko asked changing the subject.
"Well, we met a few years ago, after little Natsumi-chan tried to steal a pot of ramen that was left over while we were closing up the place. Tou-san heard the pot fall over when she tried to get it, ended up burning her hands in the process," she told them with a smile on her face, while Natsumi had a blush growing on her face.
"The first thing he did after he heard that was rush back there and saw her burnt hands, he forced them under cold water until they were better before trying to get her to stop crying. After a few minutes, she calmed down enough that she could talk. She told us that she was just trying to get something to eat, before Tou-san starting scolding her saying that she should have just asked us for some food instead of just hurting herself."
"Here you go, three Miso Ramen. What were you guys just talking about?" Teuchi asked after bringing out the food.
"Just how we met Natsumi-chan here, I got to the part where you were scolding her." his daughter answered.
"I remember that day clearly. After I got done lecturing her, she tried to leave before we stopped her and asked her if she still wanted the food. She looked shocked before nodding her head. She ate a whole pot of ramen that night, I told her to come back again if she was hungry." he finished. By the time he finished the story, the food was gone.
"Well we best be going, it's getting late and I still got shopping to do. Thanks for the story, we'll see you later." Fumiko said as they were getting up. When she went to pay for the ramen Teuchi stopped her, saying it was a celebratory meal for Natsumi finding her family.
When they got to the shopping district of Konoha, they saw it was crowded. "I want you two to stay close to me so you don't get separated," Fumiko ordered them to which they nodded before they continued. Halfway through the shopping Fumiko ended up losing sight of them before she heard a scream that sounded like Mio.
When she found them they were in an alleyway between two of the shops cornered by four men when she noticed that Mio had a bruise on her cheek. "Hey what do you guys think you're doing with those kids?" she asked them startling all of them.
"Just dealing with a coupling of pesky rats." one of them responded before being punch into a wall, shocking the other three.
"Wrong answer," she said before rushing at the other three and started beating them up. "Let's go you two, that's enough shopping for one day I'll come back tomorrow and finish it."
When she saw them with tears in their eyes she knelt down and hugged them. "It's ok they won't bother you anymore I promise. So let's go home, ok," she told them. When they nodded she grabbed their hands and walked out of the alleyway with them and didn't them go until they were out of the shopping district and had a good distance between them.
Not long after leaving the district she went down one of the roads leading away from the major parts of Konoha. "This road that we are on now is the road that all the clan compounds are connected to. To get to any one of them, there are separate paths that lead to them, I'll show you the ones that we will be passing but I won't be talking much about them. The reason why is you will be learning about them when you go back to the academy tomorrow." she told them.
"The one we're passing now is the Hyuuga Clan, they are close range fighters that use the Byakugan, a dojutsu that allows the wielder a 360° field of vision," she told them. "Up next is the Inazuka Clan, they are also close range fighters, they fight with ninken. Past them is our clan compound."
It took them several more minutes before they stopped in front of the Uzumaki Clan compound. "You two see the swirl in the center of the gate, that is our clan emblem. Each clan has their own emblem that shows who they are. On the gate of the compound is a powerful barrier seal, the only way to enter is to have your blood be recognized by the barrier. You just need to make a small cut on your hand and place it on the gate, but it will only allow you in if your blood is in the seal's matrix." she informed them.
As she was talking she took out a kunai and made a small cut on her palm before pressing it against the gate showing them how it works. After she did that, the gate started glowing before it opened up allowing them access to the compound. Once it was fully open they could see that there was a path that leads to a 3 story house with it branching off to circle around it. There is a small pond to the right of the path and they could also partially see another building behind the house.
"Welcome to the Uzumaki Clan compound, I'll tell you the basic layout of the house after I show you the outside. Let's go in then shall we?" Fumiko questioned. After they walked in the gate automatically shut behind them startling Mio and Natsume. "If you would follow me I will show you where the paths that lead to the hot springs and the outdoor training fields are."
"Kaa-san, can we go to the hot springs after you show us the house?" Mio asked as they rounded the house.
"Sure, I can tell Natsumi-chan about her Kaa-san while we relax. That path leads right to the hot springs, the one over there leads to the outdoor training fields. Use those when you want to practice Ninjustu or Fuinjustu. That building over there is for indoor sparing and practicing Kenjustu. We as Uzumaki have a hard time using Genjustu because of how dense our chakra is, so most of us don't even bother learning it. Well let me show you the house then we can go to the hot springs." she told them.
"There is another seal placed around the house, this one is similar to the one that surrounds the compound. The difference between the two is that instead of blood it needs chakra to open the door," she told them. "Simply place your hand against the door and push your chakra into the seal." After she showed them how it was done the door glowed before opening. As they walked in she continued her explanation.
"Natsumi-chan, I take it that you haven't been shown how to access your chakra at the academy yet." At the shake of her head, she sighed. "That figures well if you don't learn how to access it tomorrow I will show you how when you get home."
"Well, let me finish the tour, to our left is the kitchen and dining room beyond it, to the right here is the living room. The second floor has the guest rooms along with the library, the master bedroom is on the top floor along with the study and two more bedrooms. If you go behind the stairs you will find the door that leads to the basement. Well, let's go to the hot spring, shall we?"
As they walked to the hot springs they could see a lot of the different wildlife that lived there before they entered the place. "Natsumi-chan first I'm going to tell you who your mother is, I know who your father was but he made a lot of enemies and they wouldn't hesitate to kill you even if you are still a child," she told her. "But if you're smart enough you will figure who he is without my help anyway."
"Who was my mother, I kept asking Jiji but he would never say who my parents were?" Natsumi asked with curious eyes while undressing.
"Your mother was Kushina Uzumaki. She was the heiress to the Uzumaki Clan, but now that she is gone that makes you the heiress. She did have a sister, but I don't know if she made out of Uzushio or not." she told her while heading for the water. "Natsumi-chan did you ever notice that you're not like the other girls around you?"
"What do you mean?" she asked looking confused.
"Natsumi-chan every person born in the Uzumaki Clan is born with both male and female parts. Meaning you can get women pregnant or be pregnant yourself," she explained.
"You mention I have an aunt, where is she?" she asked.
"That last time I saw her was when some of the Clan managed to escape, everyone decided it was best to split up. I don't know if she is alive or where she even went with her bodyguards," she told Natsumi.
"Fumiko-sama, why was our clan attacked?" Natsumi asked while swimming around Mio.
"I'm not entirely sure but if I had to guess it was because of what we could do and how powerful we were," she answered while watching them play. "We Uzumaki's could use the art of Fuinjustu in ways that the other nations couldn't, making us dangerous."
"What could we do with Fuinjustu that made us dangerous?" she inquired.
"We could do all sorts of things, such as seal the elements, create seals that could change gravity, or make an explosive seal that could outclass anything anyone else could produce. With Fuinjustu anything is possible as long as you have all the equations figured out, which is why it is the hardest and most dangerous to learn. So I don't want either of you trying to create any seals unless I'm there or someone else who is a master there to make sure you don't mess up." she told them.
They didn't stay much longer before they left the hot springs to head home. As they were walking inside she had them follow her into the basement. Inside the basement where two stone slabs that had writing on them. "Alright you two, this is where you will be added to the barriers that will allow you access to the compound. I want both of you to cut your hand put your hand in the center of the seal on the left slab. Afterwords Mio-chan, I want you to push some of your chakra in the other seal, Natsumi-chan you can put yours in tomorrow."
They did as instructed and each slab glowed before going back to normal. "Alright now let's go, I'll make dinner while you two can explore the place," she told them. Mio and Natsumi ran for the stairs to go to the second floor.
When they got to the second floor of the house they found three doors, one in front of the stairs and one on either side of the hall on the same side as the stairs. When they look through the two rooms on either side of the stairs they found them to be bedrooms with bathrooms connected to them. The moment they stepped into the library they surprised by the size of it, it took up the entire length of the house and had shelves that touched the ceiling.
"This is a huge library, I wonder how many books are in here?" Natsumi wondered.
"Let's go check the rest of the place," Mio suggested.
When they got to the third floor they found a door in front along with two on the left side of the hall and one on the right side. They decided to check out the one on the right only to find it was the study. It had a bookshelf on the right side of the room filled with books, across from the door stood a desk. They checked out the room on the same side of the building as the study and found it to be a bedroom just like the ones on the second floor.
When they turned around to look at the other door they stopped, on it read 'Natsumi's Room'. When Mio looked at Natsumi she saw that she had tears in her eyes. With shaking hands, she opened it, inside was a baby crib filled with toys directly across from the door along with a rocking chair on the right side of the room. There was also a dresser filled with baby clothes. By this time she was openly crying before Mio led her out and to the master bedroom.
Once inside she closed the door and led Natsumi to the bed and held her while she cried. When Fumiko came up to get them for dinner she found them both on the bed sleeping. She left them alone and let them sleep for the night.
