The city had fallen silent for the night. Exhaustion overcame Clu as he fought to enjoy a rare moment of peace. He didn't feel peace though; the stresses and problems he was now constantly faced with as the system's administrator continued to nag him without ceasing. He sat alone in his designated apartment room. The silence was becoming too loud for him, causing him to hold his head in anxiety; deeper parts of his emotions were almost scaring him as he reflected upon his countless unsuccessful conversations with Flynn over achieving ultimate perfection. He shut his eyes tighter, deflecting the bitterness flooding back with the memories. He angrily stood up and wished for a break in this game he was loosing against himself. Clu wanted to believe the best; that his efforts to create the perfect system were not going unnoticed. They had always been on the same team, trying to reach the same goal. He fought it; Flynn must know the means to reach maximum potential. But the ISOs…they have infected him. Nothing can change his mind about them. Every time Clu saw his own reflection, he saw the source of his ever-growing bane; his Creator, starring back at him. Flynn knows what it must for the system. No, I know what's best. Perfection.

Just outside the window, a bright light shone through the sky. The atmosphere filled with the beams of the portal's signifying glow. They say it's a symbol of hope. Clu thought cautiously. If he will not make the necessary sacrifices, then I will.

I fight for the users! ;) This scene is actually from another Tron fiction I'm co-writing writing with a really good friend. Clu 2 is my absolute favorite character from Legacy. This piece stood out from the rest of the story and had to become my first Tron oneshot to the collection. I don't own Tron:Legacy or any of the characters, except Clu (in my own little universe) Rate and Review! End of the Line Man.
