Title: French fries

Disclaimer: I don't own GA and I don't own French fries.

A/N: I'm taking a break from writing my other stories to make this oneshot dedicated to a friend. He/she doesn't watch Grey's Anatomy and he/she doesn't even know I'm dedicating this oneshot to him/her. We had a fight because of something I did and though we're friends again I still don't know what to say to him/her. There was just that day that I happen to buy fries from our canteen and she/he happened to like them too. Anyway, we got slightly closer and I think it was because of the fries. So here it is...George O' Malley's POV.

George's POV, Seattle Grace Cafeteria...

Oh, look what's new on the menu today! Fries!

I just happen to love fries. Hot or cold. Crispy or not. Long or short. Fat or thin. I just happen to love fries. And today, I'm getting some.

And now I hold the basket of fries in my hand. They look hot and crispy. Yum...I could fell it in my mouth already.

Oh, that's nice. The gang's all complete today. And they're all sitting in the same table. That's rare.

Cristina has apparently gotten hold of my fries while I was basking in the moment and now I'M CHASING HER AROUND BECAUSE SHE'S FINISHING ALL MY FRIES! GIVE ME BACK MY FRIES CRISTINA YANG!!!

Anyway, I manage to get back my fries with only a handful taken. Yeah, they're all stuffed in her big mouth right now.

I happily eat my fries while I share to the others the glory of this wonderful thing that God has created. I eat and eat and then I stop when she came in...

Her long hair bouncing up and down, she walks over to us and grabs one of my fries. I let her do it since I was too startled. Cristina grabs my attention.

"Hey, how come she gets free access to your fries?"

"She didn't get as much as you did" I said.

"No fair!" and she throws a French fry at me.

I don't know why I'm still so in love with her (not Cristina but the girl who just came in). We rarely talk now. We used to be so close before but then things just went...poof.

Suddenly, after forever, she talks to me.

"Can I get more fries George? Thanks a lot." I simply nod and she gets her share.

My hearts beating fast. It's like those elementary crushes wherein you'd do anything for that girl. Cristina interrupts me again.

"See? She gets it for free! That's so unfair!" she whines again.

"That's because she asked for permission and gets only like, 2." Alex butted in.

But I just had my eyes only for her, and I felt myself blush as she reaches for another French fry and smiles at me.

I tell everyone else that I don't love her anymore. I've got Callie convinced that I don't love her anymore. I've got everybody else believing the same thing. But isn't it hard to know that you see the one you love everyday yet you can't even talk to her? That you have to keep your feelings a secret? Sucks, right?

Now that I think about it, maybe I'll buy French fries everyday. I like them. She likes them. Everyone likes them. Why not? Now that I think more, French fries bring us closer. Kind of funny to think of.

I get startled as a pager beeps off. It was hers. She gets one last fry and then she says goodbye.

"Bye George. See you."

Finally, I find the strength to talk to her.

"Bye Meredith. I'll see you too."

And I want to stand up and tell her I love her but nah, I don't want what happened the last time. I'll just leave it to the French fries.

A/N: As for me, I still continue buying the fries every recess. And like George, I think I'll just leave it to the fries. Review?
