Challenge yourself- 1- How bad can I be?

The chilling wind ruffled again through my fur, drawing my attention even more to the sticky warmth of my own blood. The single droplet on my paw pad transfixed my gaze far more than the larger spatter it had made down my chest fur.

I liked to think injuries had never fazed me before.

But the half-light of this place turned a once all-too-familiar sight of such a small injury into a scarily unrecognizable thing. It wasn't where I had been a few seconds ago, for sure. The trees here weren't like those of the other clans, for sure. These trees had been dead a much longer time than any of the trees at home had likely been alive. Even the Great Oaks. Just being within sight of them, let alone under them, gave me a horrible feeling of dread.

The... the dark forest.

The name came back to me slowly. It was something only out of the elder's tales, the place where only the truly dark-hearted went. Then what am I doing here? I thought desperately, trying to think of any action I had done that would win me a place among the shadows. I came up blank. But then, it was hard to think over an entire lifetime in the space of a day. Had it been a day? It was hard to tell, hard to focus with the constant distractions of the eerie silence, the piercing wind. Most of all, with trying to keep my breathing steady, despite knowing where I was and what that meant.

Finally gathering up the courage, I looked down at my chest. It was only a small scratch -admittedly, self-inflicted- but I still could not get over how blood looked here, in the dark. Standing to my paws anyway, I began to move forward, stumbling despite the familiarity I had with my own limping gait. Unfortunately, in the Dark Forest I couldn't go back to the age I enjoyed the most. So, my crippled leg, the bane of my existence, was still here.

Maybe, if I was lucky, I could find my way to Starclan. And then give them a piece of my mind. "I hadn't killed anyone. I hadn't hurt anyone. It wasn't my fault that life wasn't fair." The argument continued, speaking merely to break the silence.

My gaze flickered as I saw a flash of ginger fur, and I took off deeper into the forest. "Hey! Who are you?!"

This is a canon cat who really is in the dark forest. Take a guess! XD
