Hi.

This is my fifth fanfiction. I'm known for writing about Percy Jackson, but too much Percy Jackson can cause major headaches, so I decided to switch over to some Fairytail stories for a change.

One thing: I watch the Japanese dub of Fairytail with Chinese subtitles because I can't really find the English dub. That's a drawback of living in China, I guess. As the result, some of the details in this story might not be very correct, but I'll try my best to get it as accurate as possible.

Note: This story takes place after defeating the Oracion Seis.

In any way, let's begin.

Whispers of the Names

Chapter One: First

Lucy

The rain drizzled outside, slipping down the windows in tiny rivulets. Lucy watched the tiny raindrops splatter onto the glass, sliding down. She was betting on Raindrop #19 to win the race, but Raindrop #34 did.

What a pity.

Lucy glanced at her watch. It was already 6:30 PM, about dinnertime. She had lounged at the guild for the entire day, and watched possibly the most normal things happen.

In the morning, Mira sang her usual songs on the stage, but everything went insane when Gajeel tried to have a try. Natsu spat fire, and ended up burning the curtains, and would have burned the guild to the ground if it weren't for Juvia. Gray, obviously, yelled some unflattering names, and within moments, Natsu and Gray were scuffling on the ground. The onlookers started placing bets about who would win, but was very rudely interrupted by Erza, who shoved them all aside and gave Natsu and Gray a massive bump each on their heads. While all of that was taking place, Lucy and Mira both watched with partly amused and partly sympathetic expressions.

Now, Erza sat aside, eating a slice of strawberry cake. Who would have guessed that the Great Fairy Queen Titania Erza Scarlet would have such a fondness for a slice of confectionary? Natsu and Gray were fuming at each other on different sides of the hall. The Shadowgear team was hard at work, and the rest of the day went by relatively uneventfully.

"You know, it's about time we should all go back home," Lucy noted.

"Yes," Mira agreed, smiling sweetly as she placed all the dishes down.

Then, Natsu had to make things worse by challenging Erza to a duel right at that moment.

"Not now," Erza said as she stabbed a strawberry with her fork. "I'm eating,"

"I don't care!" Natsu yelled.

With a long sigh, Erza stood up and punched Natsu in the face.

Natsu fell like a stone.

"Doesn't he ever learn?" Lucy asked, wincing.

"Probably never," Mira replied, unnecessarily cheerfully. "Don't worry. He'll probably be good as new in two seconds. Expect another failed challenge tomorrow too,"

The guild silenced briefly as a clap of thunder echoed across the hall, bouncing off the walls before rumbling into silence.

Lucy packed up her things into her bag and slung it over a shoulder.

"Bye," Mira called.

"Bye," Lucy replied.

Suddenly, the temperature in the room dropped twenty degrees. The candles and lamps were snuffed out, and all conversations stilled. The room fell into darkness so thick you could practically see it in the air. Even Gray and Natsu stopped yelling at each other.

After a few seconds of silence, the lights popped back on, but everyone still remained nervously silent and rightfully so.

"What's going on?" Makarov asked, opening an eye and arching an eyebrow skeptically.

"Nothing, Master," Erza replied curtly, but her eyes were scanning everything, as if making sure no one made a surprise appearance when the lights were out.

There was a nervous ripple of laughter, and a few conversations resumed, but almost hesitantly.

Then, the guild silenced again, not because of the thunder or rain, but just because something that felt like fear emerged. Lucy shuddered and wrapped her jacket tighter around her shoulders.

"Bisuka Priscilla,"

A cold female voice echoed across the hall and faded away.

"Does she mean me?" Bisca asked nervously.

"Probably not," Alzack replied, trying to sound reassuring, but failing miserably. You have to be really daft to look over the fear in his voice.

There was another moment of silence that pressed against Lucy's ears. It felt so thick Lucy wondered if her ears would pop.

Suddenly, Bisca stood, rigid, eyes wide, posture stiff, hands clenched. A circle of black magic swirled around her feet.

"Bisca!" Alzack cried.

Bisca opened her mouth, as if she was going to scream, but ended up laughing instead. Bisca laughed and laughed, sagging down onto the ground, still stifling with giggles as she hunched over, gasping for breath.

"Bisca, what is going on?" Makarov thundered as he strode foreward. Everyone

scrambled aside, giving them a loose ring of space.

Bisca glanced up and everyone screamed. Even Makarov looked taken aback and slightly stunned.

Bisca's eyes were now pure black, her pupils a dot of silver like a lone star shining from a dark night sky.

"He... he... he's coming back!" Bisca managed to blurt before sagging down again and giggling.

Then, Lucy would never manage to remove the image from her mind.

Bisca froze rigid again. Her body seemed to shimmer, a faint silvery outline before she crumbled into a pile of black ash into the ground, swallowed by the ring of black magic around her feet. Apart from a slight burn mark on the floor, you would never have guessed that anything extraordinary had happened at all.

Then, everything was silent once more.

Ugh, this was difficult. Expositions have never been so difficult before. I hope it wasn't too dark and creepy and morbid and all.
