When I first started writing this poem I didn't have the series in mind but as I re-read it, it reminded me of when Inuyasha is in his human form and he hates it and only Kagome and the sunrise can help him through it. I hope you like it. Thanks
Dark Into Light
Darkness is always there
It's all around
Don't know how to get out
Nothing can help now
Can't stop shaking
It's so cold
Breath is short
Palms are sweating
So scared can't move
Just floating in empty space
Nothing else around
So alone
The sun won't be coming up here
Can't live like this much longer
Think ending it all is best
Nothing to use for it
Must claw out of here
Fingernails bleeding; tortured
Bloodied broken desolute
Shattered scattered cold
Reality slipping away; scared
Feeling warmth in front
Can't quite reach it
Stretching so far
Blinding light; guiding
To bright to see through
Only one chance must take it
Rushing tripping; worn out
Can't stop must reach
Coming into view
A hand reaching; searching
So tired can't make it
Light is dimming
Double the speed
Don't know where the strength came from
Almost there
Grabbing the hand
Reality is here
No more darkness
A love restored
A life worth living
A place to call home
All these things
I have been searching for
And so much more.
