I just want to say that I do not own Minecraft or any of these characters, except for a few which I will mention when they come up in the upcoming chapters. I also do not own anything related to Minecraft also except for the stuff I make up.
I hope you enjoy and please, if you have any ideas or have any idea on how to make this story better tell me. This is my first fanfic anyway.
Chapter 1- A Strange Journey
First person POV
It was like any other day, I woke up (not wanting to of course), went to my bathroom, took a shower, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and then headed to school. Knowing a lot of people, no one likes to do any of this in the morning, I know I don't.
I was walking for about five minutes until I heard someone behind me, it was my friend John. (A made up character)
"Hey Steve, wait up!" He started running towards me with amazing speed, he was always the type of person to let his body do the talking…and I realized how bad that sounded when I say it. Oh well, it's said and done.
"Hey man what's up" I am always curious when John was hyped up about something, especially when it's something I can make fun of. We have always nagged each other since we were kids, but now we are fourteen and can think of so many more burns.
"I…I…just wanted…to say…" he was breathing extremely hard, must have run all the way from his house, which is about four blocks farther from my house.
"Dude are you ok, you sound like my vacuum when it picks up a penny." I always wanted to say something like that.
"Ha ha very funny, now what was I going to say, um, uh. Oh yea, apparently Mojang is thinking of releasing their new update that is for new special players around the world. Apparently there will be a limit to about 100 to 150 people getting it." He sounded pretty hyped up, but he wasn't the only one. I didn't even know this update was real and I was already excited. I don't really know what this update was about, no one did as a matter a fact. I know this because-
"And, no one even knows what the update is about!" And there it is.
"Could you imagine if one of us were the special chosen players, we would be able to access more things than anyone else!" I said
"Ya, that's why they said it was for special players, not 'all' players." He looked at me as if I was some sort of idiot.
"Whatever, let's just go to school." He knew I was pissed and he was definitely going to use this another day.
Later
"Oh my god, this was the most boring of days, ever, of all time" John always acted like this after school.
"Hey, I don't know what you're talking about, I thought it was awesome. Now I know how to both gut a pig, and well…okay I didn't learn anything much" I was totally stupid, brain fart, no idea what happened today. But I didn't care, today was pretty boring and I have to agree, I hate to admit that.
I have always been one of those people who love school, but not today. Today, I just kept thinking about-
Fzzz-Fzzz
"Dude, your phone just went off."
"I know, now where is it." I am one of those people who are too lazy to throw trash in the garbage so I just put it in my pocket and wait until I want to throw it all out at home.
"Dude what you keep in there, a junk yard"
"That was by far the worst burn I have ever heard you say."
"Ya, I know" He started frowning, what a drama queen.
"Ah ha, wait no, that's a calculator, wait, why am I carrying a calculator around, my phone works just as well. Oh come on." I kept ruffling through my pocket and I finally found my phone, no wait, another calculator. Jesus, what's wrong with me. Still searching, searching.
"Dude, check your other pocket." He looked at me as if it was going to help, sometimes I wonder about him. "Really, look in your other pocket, good idea, maybe after I am done with that one, I can look in another pocket that just so happens to be on my wrong hand side." I'm picky about this stuff, sew me.
"I am just saying, maybe you put on your pants backwards today."
"That wouldn't make a difference Jack Ass" Holly crap, I never swear, oh well, to late to fix that now. "Fine you want me to check my other pocket, would that make you happy," he nodded at me as if he has been trying to explain something to a complete idiot and they finally understood him.
"All right, I'm reaching in my pocket what do you know there is no pho-" I just stood there for what seemed like forever and I could tell I was blushing because what do you know, my phone was in my pocket. The, wrong, POCKET!
"Is it in there?"
"Yes"
"Do you feel stupid"
"…"
"…"
"Yes"
I pulled out my phone and turned it on, there was a message from Mojang.
"Dude, Mojang sent me a message" I looked at him, he was really surprised at what I said.
"Maybe it's about the update! You might have been selected" He looked at me as if Justin Bieber just kissed his girlfriend…no wait, as if he was the girl being kissed by, never mind.
"It is, it says,"
"Congratulations, you have been selected as one of the very few special players to receive the new exclusive update." Wow, cool. "It has occurred to us that you do not know anything about this update and what it is about so we will keep it brief, you will be sent a message in minecraft on a single player world that you can now access the new server specialized for this update." Ok, this is actually sounding good. "Now that is all we can tell you, join the game to find out more, secrets. Also, new features, better moving, advanced tools, self-design, got rid of Herobrine." Of course they got rid of him again, stupid myth.
"Sounds cool, when you going to go play?"
"Right when I get home" I then did what any other fan boy would do. Run home as quick as possible. I was running for what seemed like for ages.
"Has this road gotten longer, no, no it didn't. Wait, did I pass my house, maybe I passed my house, why am I talking to myself."
"You are as silly as I remember you back in elementary school" came a voice from out of no where.
"AAH!" Of course this person scared the living crap out of me making me fall down square on my face, luckily, no bruising. "Ow, that hurt"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that." It was a girl's voice, and a familiar one at that. I looked up, but my sight was completely blurry.
"I can't see anything" I said to her, she started laughing at me for some reason. "What?"
"Your nose sounds plugged up, and it's kind of cute." She said to me, I definitely know that voice from somewhere.
"Haha, can you just help me to a bench or something." I was beyond pissed, but, I kind of felt bad because I feel like I know her pretty well.
"Here sit down," I trusted her and sat down "Steve, are you okay?"
"Yes" I responded, "Who are you"
"Do you not remember me" her voice was soft
"No" But now my sight was coming back and I could see again, it was…oh crap.
"Oh" It was..my…crush
"Hey" she said, I hadn't seen her since the grade seven dance, when we all went to high school. I asked her out after the party and she said no because she wasn't allowed to date, clearly, I got the memo.
"Oh, h-hey." I was beginning to blush, shit, how do I hide this.
"I wanted to ask you something"
"Okay, what" this seems too quick into conversation, wait, what am I talking about. Oh ya my dream. Creepy, creepy dream.
"I was wondering, if you wanted to maybe hang out on minecraft, I saw your videos on YouTube and I found out you played so you know, I thought we could play." Wha-wha-…what just happened, did she just ask me if I wanted to go on a minecraft date? Hu, haven't heard that one before.
"Sure, when?" Just got to keep up the cool guy act…actually now that I think about it, I failed that when I screamed like a girl.
"Tonight maybe, do you have the special update, I do"
"Yeah, I do to, we could hang out on that server."
"Okay, tonight"
"It's a da-I mean it's a meet up" That was close.
"Alright seeya!" She waved good bye and I was alone again, needing to run home myself! I totally forgot, I need to hurry so I can play.
I started running as fast as I could, I can't wait.
I burst through the door and of course, my mom has to talk.
"Hey whats all the camotion"
"My crush Ashlen plays minecraft, going to go play with her, I have a chance don't ruin this byeee!" I slammed my door. I knew she was going to be puzzled after talked like Eminem.
I got onto my computer and instantly logged in to minecraft, started a world and let it load. I got onto my world and sure enough, there was the link.
"Yes, finally," I clicked it, and all of a sudden me computer was going all crazy. It was a virus! "Wait no, no!" I was too late, my computer turned blue and then black. My computer just died, but it looked like there were to whit cubes on the screen. Must be the virus aftermath. But then the cubes disappeared and my computer turned back on as if nothing had happened, and then I saw a window at me desktop.
"Minecraft Advanced" it was weird, why would it be an update but not even the same game? I clicked it and then it loaded and started up a screen, with a nether portal on it. Click here was all it said below. So I did, all of a sudden the lights went out, and the rest of the power.
"Oh crap," I looked out my window, the whole street had lost power. Strange.
"Steve, can you get the flashlights out of the bathroom for us!" It sounded like I need to go and get the flashlights now.
I went into the bathroom, struggling to find the cupboard with the flashlights, I couldn't find it but then all of a sudden the lights in the bathroom lit up slightly. I look up, looks like they were trying hard to stay live, I looked in the mirror to see my face, and if it was shocked enough by the fact that the lights in the bathroom were the only ones.
I looked in the cupboard and found the flashlights and went to walk out but the door was locked, and I couldn't unlock it.
"What the,"
"Having troubles?" I turned with a weep noise to see nothing. Was I going crazy?
"Hello, am I imagining you?"
"No" I was worried about that. "I have been waiting for you Steven"
"Hey no one calls me that except for my mother" I was beyond ticked by who ever this was talking. "Where are you?" I yelled
"Would you like to see my form in this dimension?" he asked
"Yes" I said as if it was a question, then a burst of smoke appeared in the room, and the smoke started, to laugh?
"Well no you see me, but if you want more answers you will need to venture to my world" I didn't know if this was all a prank or total crazy brain damage from what happened on the computer. "Look in the reflection of forgotten images and look closely,"
I looked into the mirror and saw, nothing. Hold on, now I see, a blocky, shadowy figure, it looked like, like. Steve, not me but, the character, from minecraft but how? Am I on drugs?
"He he, touch the reflection." The smoke told me, I looked at the reflection a little more to see the character slowly shake his head no, I needed a closer look. I put my hand against the mirror to only find out that there was no longer a mirror, but empty blackness, and I was falling!
I couldn't stop, I just kept falling, but then a tingly sensation came over me, I looked at me hands, they were becoming pixilated and then, they vanished. But it hurt, a lot.
"AAH!" I screamed in pain, I just kept falling, the same happened with the rest of my body. I kept screaming, while falling into the dark empty pit. Soon it stopped hurting until finally, it felt like everything stopped. Nothing was happening, as If time itself had stopped. I thought I was alright until I started falling again this time there was a light at the bottom. I kept falling and falling until a bright flash of light hit my face. I opened up my eyes for merrily a second until I saw the ground coming fast and then. Nothing, blackness, where was I. I didn't know.
I passed out.
A couple of hours later I heard footsteps, I could barely open my eyes. As I slowly was relieved of my daze to fuzzy images I could hear people talking.
"Should we take him, he looks human."
"Yes, but he looks like him"
"But his eyes, they are not whit as snow, but blue like the ocean."
"Then he must be the other"
"Yes, the other one"
"I don't think we can trust him knowing where our base is."
"Agreed, wait he is waking back up, quickly nock him back out"
"Got it"
I opened my eyes wide. "Wait no!" I was too late, they did what they had to do
