Yuki rolled over onto his back and reached habitually over to where his lover slept. The spot was empty as it had been for the last 3 months. Yuki placed his arm over his eyes and groaned before grabbing the photo from his night stand. Visions from that night, flashing to the forefront of his mind.

Cause I'm broken when I'm open and I don't feel like

I am strong enough

Because I'm broken when I'm lonesome and I don't feel right

When you're gone away.

Yuki tried to will the unbidden images from his mind. They had gotten into another fight, this time Shuichi had ran from the apartment. He had headed towards Hiro's only he never made it. He had run blindly into traffic and was hit by an oncoming vehicle... "Shuichi..." Yuki whispered as a tear trailed down his cheek.
"What do you mean there's been an accident?!" Yuki had yelled angrily into the phone before slamming it down on the receiver and bolting out of the door car keys in hand. When he got to the hospital he had demanded to see Shuichi. "I'm so sorry Shu..."

The worst is over now and we can breathe again

Yuki had walked almost timidly into the room. Fear gripping his heart. He knelt down by the bed. "Shuichi?" Yuki asked his voice barely a whisper. Lavender eyes filled with so much pain locked onto Yuki's.
"Yuki...you...came...I...love...you" Shuichi gasped out.
"Of course I came baka. Why wouldn't I? Oh God Shuichi I'm so sorry...If we hadn't been fighting..." panic now setting in began to claim the author.
"Don't be sorry...It's not your...fault Yuki...don't leave me...please...I'm so cold." Shuichi whispered.
"I'm not going anywhere," Yuki said as his voice cracked. Shuichi's breath came in short laboured gasps "Stay with me Shu. Please...I'm sorry...I love you." Shuichi's lavender eyes locked on Yuki's golden ones.
"I know Yuki. I'm sorry," Shuichi said as he closed his eyes and took his last breath.

"Shuichi! Shuichi! Answer me damn it you can't die!" Yuki shouted tears trailing down his cheeks. He felt hands dragging him away as he fought them off. Yuki lay in his bed clinging to the photograph of him and Shuichi. Tears streaming from his face. "I'm so sorry Shuichi. I pushed you away and now you're ...you're..."Yuki broke off as his voice cracked unable to complete the sentence. "I will always love you Shu."

You've gone away...

You don't feel me anymore.
