Good morning and Merry Christmas! So I forgot to turn off my alarm clock, and I woke up at 6 this morning. Its 8 now and I still have like an
hour before I can wake my parents up and open present. So I'm sitting in my living room staring at them. I'm 16 and I still can't wait to open my presents. And A Christmas story is playing over and over again. I bet throughout the day I'll watch it like 5 times. Either way I have to waste some time so have a short Christmas drabble based on the cutest Christmas story of all time.

Antonio and Lovino were a very poor, but very happy couple. While they could barely make rent, they were very much in love. It didn't matter if they had to eat Ramen Noodles every night as long as they ate Ramen Noodles every night together. Lovino was between jobs and he was having trouble finding a new one, Antonio on the other hand did gardening for a very rich, old couple on the other side of town. They were very generous, but their money mostly went to paying off old debt and bills. The two were dangerously close to being evicted.

But despite this, they were happy.

Antonio had a pocket watch his father gave him. but the chain had broken, but getting a new one made of gold was much too expensive. Lovino was a painter. He had a fancy set of paint brushes his grandfather gave him years ago. He had paints in every color he'd gathered in his youth, but he had no canvases, and those were quite expensive. Now with Christmas on the way, they normally didn't get each other anything. They both decided they didn't need anything but each other.

But they both felt bad for not getting the other anything. So this year Lovino was going to get Antonio a new chain. And Antonio was going to get Lovino a few canvases. No matter what they had to give up to get them.

It was two days before Christmas. And Lovino grabbed his grandfathers paint brush set, and with a heavy heart took them down to the pawn shop. He sold them, and took the money down to the jeweler and bought Antonio a beautiful new golden chain.

That very day, Antonio walked down to that same pawn shop and sold his father's pocket watch. Then he walked down to the paint store and bought three large canvases. Both pleased with what they had done, they wrapped their gifts and waited for Christmas to come.

On Christmas morning they sat in their living room, cuddled up to each other in front of the fire.

"Hey, Lovi... I know we said we wouldn't get each other gifts... But..." Antonio started.

"I got you one too..." Lovino said chuckling. They both laughed "It's in the other room." He said going to get the little box. Antonio jumped up and grabbed his much bigger present. When they met back up they swapped. "It's big..." Lovino said opening his gift. Canvases. "Oh Toni..." He said. "How did you afford these?"

"I sold my father's pocket watch." He said smiling. Lovino frowned

"Bastard! I sold my grandfather's paint brushes so I could get you a new chain for your pocket watch!" Lovino scolded.

"Oh Lovi..." Antonio said with a sad smile. They both laughed a bit. "We're really dumb..."

"Like idiot." Lovino pushing gifts aside, they embraced each other, thankful for a lover willing to give up their most prized possession for each other.

Sorry this is so short. But Merry Christmas everyone! And I really hope you all get to spend time with your families and have a great day!
