A/N: In light of the "no stories allowed over the K rating" I'm debating on finding another home for my stories, which sucks because so many of you ONLY read here. However. I have a T story and an M story on here, and it looks like either could get me banned from the site. Why they HAVE the ratings if they're not ALLOWED is completely beyond me. I'm already on LiveJournal, but it's not as "friendly" as far as indexing and whatnot.

This was the part of the Hunting life Sam hated most. His back and shoulders ached from the frenzied digging for the bones, but that was nothing compared to what Dean had endured.

Why did the stubborn bastard always insist on being the bait?

Sam sighed - he knew why. He struggled into the motel room under the weight of his mostly-unconscious brother, sitting Dean down on his bed. Sam got Dean's jacket off before carefully easing him back onto the pillows. Grabbing scissors from the medi-kit he snipped off Dean's blood-soaked shirt.

He braced for the long night ahead.
