Samara sat on the floor of the Saeki family bathroom, and Toshio-kun sat across from her, scratching his knees softly. Mar came up and gently nuzzled Samara's leg. She affectionately scratched behind his left ear, causing him to roll happily onto his back, his black paws in the air.

"How do you say 'cat' in Japanese?" Samara asked.

"Neko," Toshio answered.

"Neko…" Samara repeated. "That's cute."

Toshio looked confused. "How is it cute?"

Samara shrugged. "I don't know. It's cute."

Toshio sighed. "This is no fun. Nobody's come into this house in ages."

"Nobody's watched my tape, either," Samara said forlornly.

"You should consider upgrading to DVD, or maybe Blu-ray," Toshio commented.

"Nobody watches Blu-ray, Toshio-kun."

"Have you made a DVD, then?" Toshio persisted.

"Yes, but it doesn't feel the same," Samara frowned. "I had to crawl out of a laptop once. It was a tight fit."

"I felt the same way about those apartments in Chicago," Toshio agreed. "It wasn't the kind of climate that I scare best in."

"But you met that nice little girl," Samara reminded him.

"Yeah, Rose was nice," Toshio smiled, thinking of her. "Going to America wasn't all bad. I liked the toy she gave me."

Samara turned to look at the Mr. Potato Head perched on the edge of the full bathtub, and smiled.

They heard the croak of Kayako's throat, and bumps upstairs.

"Look alive, you two," Kayako rasped. "We've got a guest."

Toshio snickered at his mother's choice of words.

"What are you laughing at?" Kayako demanded.

"Nothing, Mother!" Toshio yelled.

"I'll leave now, Mrs. Saeki-san, and let you entertain your new guest. Thank you for inviting me!" Samara called.

"You're welcome here anytime, Samara." Kayako said comfortingly. "Do come back soon!"

Samara gave Toshio a parting hug. "Are you going the bathtub route?" she asked gleefully. Scaring people via bathtubs was a favorite tactic of both of them.

"You bet!" Toshio grinned, and moved his Mr. Potato Head to a safe place in the corner of the room before hopping into the tub. Once in, he reached his little white hand out to wave goodbye. Samara gripped it affectionately before leaving the room.

As she walked down the road, hearing the screams of Kayako and Toshio's victim, she grinned.

Play dates are so much fun.

I have two theme songs for this story. They both happen to be Dubstep, and by the same DJ. Go figure…

Lights (Bassnectar Remix) by Ellie Goulding

Magical World ft. Nelly Furtado- Bassnectar

If you have a song that reminds you of this story, or anything else I've written, tell me- I love that kind of stuff! :D Please review!
