A/N I would like to say first that I know that a lot of people ship Jayden/Emily, but I am NOT one of those people. I will admit that they would look cute, but Emily and Mike would look cuter, but that's just my opinion. I ship Jayden/Mia, so if you have a problem with that, you don't have to read this.
Disclaimer: I do NOT own Power Ranger Samurai.
She watched him from a distance. He had amazing form and the way he held his sword in a battle made her envy him even more. His back was to her and she watched as he ran a hand through his hair for a moment. He had amazing hair. He also had amazing eyes.
'Those amazing blue eyes,' she thought.
"Mia?"
How she would kill to be so up close and looking directly into them…
"Mia?"
Mia blinked once and blushed. She realized that she had been caught. Jayden was facing her with the most peculiar expression.
"Hey, Jayden…" she said as if she were a little kid being caught for the fifth time trying to steal a cookie from the cookie jar.
"Do you guys need me for something?" he asked.
Mia shook her head violently, "No, every things fine."
He raised an eyebrow. "Okay…" he said, then he turned around and started training with his stick once more. He did a few more hits in the air before he stopped and turned around to see Mia still standing there in the same place. He walked towards her.
"Is there something wrong?"
Mia started to shake her head, but then she stopped. "Actually yes, there is a problem, Jayden." She then took her fist and punched him square in the arm.
Jayden tried to stifle a groan, but it came out anyway. Mia may have been a sweet and innocent girl, but she threw quite the punch.
"What was that for?" Jayden asked in a calm voice.
"You know, Jayden? For the awesome leader that you are, you can act pretty senseless sometimes," she said.
He didn't know whether to thank her for the compliment or be mad at her for insult. "And how is that?" he asked.
"You shouldn't have left! We were all going through enough chaos as it was and when you left that just put the icing on the cake."
Jayden sighed, he thought that everyone would have been easy on him after coming back, especially Mia. He thought wrong.
"Look, Mia. I just didn't want anyone to get hurt because of me anymore. I wanted to keep you safe."
"'You?'" Mia breathed.
Jayden's heart immediately quickened. "I meant you guys," he saved himself from the awkwardness.
"Oh." The butterflies in Mia's stomach dropped. "Well, just don't leave again. I really need you here." With that, she began to walk away.
Jayden's ears perked up. "Wait. You just said 'I really need you here'," he called out.
Mia turned her head over her should and held a smile on her face. "I know."
Jayden grinned as he watched her walk out of his sight.
