So the other day a weird idea came to me. What if Klaus had been in love with Stefan's and Damon's mother before she had met their father? And that maybe that's why he's so interested in the Salvatore brothers…

I'm not sure where this is going but I'll give it a try.

P.S.: I'm really sorry if I made any mistakes in Italian. I used Google translate. :P correct me if I made a mistake please. J

"Isabella Rossi, she has moved here a few months ago with her father, he is a well known businessman. I'm quite sure you have met him before."

" Rossi…yes I was introduced to him a few days ago. It would only be appropriate to meet his daughter also, don't you agree Elijah?" said Klaus with a mischievous smile.

" Don't cause her trouble brother please. We don't want to attract attention to ourselves once more. You know what happened last time" said Elijah remembering the disaster Klaus had cause in another town they had visited.

"Don't worry my dear brother, what harm could a gentleman like me cause to such an innocent creature." Elijah knew better then that. Klaus started walking towards Isabella thinking of the appropriate way to get to know her. They were at a ball where all the known faces of the town were. Klaus found these balls boring yet he liked to see all these fools trying so hard to seem somewhat higher than everyone else, when in truth they were as shallow as a person can be. In fact this "higher class" could be as ruthless as Klaus himself. The only difference was that Klaus didn't lie to himself

Isabelle was sitting in a corner. She was smiling at everyone but it was obvious to Klaus that she wanted to leave. It was as easy for him to tell what kind of a person someone is as breathing. No matter how hard they tried or how big of a mask they wore, Klaus had centuries of knowledge about human behavior and could see right through them. This is why Isabella caught his eye instantly…she was different, mysterious. Klaus wanted to discover her immediately, he hated being in the dark.

" Miss Isabella, I would like to introduce you to lord Klaus, my brother" Elijah had agreed to introduce them, knowing that his brother would find a way be it with his help or another's.

" It is very nice to meet you Mr. Klaus." she said with a slight Italian accent. Her voice sounded beautiful to Klaus. He felt as though he could listen to it all they. He even felt a bit nervous in a way…something he didn't feel with anybody. He was always confident about everything he said and everything he did. Yet here was this simple girl that made him take his time and choose his words. She had the most beautiful, light blue eyes, Klaus noticed.

"The pleasure is all mine Miss Isabella"

" Please, call me Isabella. I have asked that of your brother also yet he is set on being formal." She said this with a smile that, to Klaus, seemed to brighten the mood of this very boring party.

" I find it quite hard to do when I am talking to a lady like yourself." said Elijah with a polite smile.

"Your wish is my command Isabella" said Klaus looking her straight in the eyes. Isabelle smiled innocently.

"si parte Isa" called Mr. Russo from the other side of the room. They were leaving already?

"Un momento per favore padre" said Isabella. She seemed relieved that they were finally leaving.

"It was wonderful to meet you sir"

" Now you are being formal Isabella. Klaus, just Klaus"

" Very well Klaus, I hope to see you again"

She left. Klaus seemed annoyed suddenly as he looked around in the room full of all these people. They all seemed so little and useless. More then usual. They were nothing compared to Isabella. In fact Klaus felt that he couldn't find one person that was anywhere near as delightful as Isabella…

I'm not sure whether I'm going to continue this. Tell me if it's worth continuing in the reviews J
