Artie watched the young woman at the computer, one hand propping up her head as she read through lines of code for her latest project. He took a seat in his chair and pushed off, rolling across the floor to halt next to Claudia. He mimicked her position and waited for her to catch on. It didn't take long.

The redhead turned to face him warily. "Do I have something on my face?" Artie's eyes looked at the bright blue streak in the red hair. He could have sworn it was purple just last week. Claudia fingered the color, twirling it around and around – yelping when it got caught in her ring.

She was busy disentangling the blue from silver and Artie pounced. "What's the deal with your hair?" The woman looked up, tugging sharply to get her finger free.

"I didn't realize there was a dress code for this place," Claudia retorted, lifting an eyebrow at Artie's untucked shirt. He ran his hands down the worn material, smoothing out the wrinkles as she laughed. The older man glared, lifting his hands away quickly.

"There's no deal," she made air quotes "with my hair. I just like to have a bit of fun and it always pissed off my foster mother something terrible." Claudia grinned wickedly. "It's easy to do. Were you thinking red or purple, Artie? I think red might clash with your skin tone right now..." she trailed off as he clenched his fists.

"Inventory!" Artie barked. Claudia jumped out of her chair, making a beeline for the door as Artie continued to mutter threats of inventory duty for the next week.
