End in Heaven
A Misery fanfiction
Author's Note : Blablabla, Paul Sheldon, Annie Wilkes and the chainsaw belong to Stephen King, I'm only a hopeless fangirl.
PS : This shortage is inspired from "Fractured", another Misery fanfiction.
I only saw the movie and never read the book (even though I dream about reading it as much as "Wicked") but there are no libraries where I currently live and no posts and so I cannot receive or buy any books at all and am turning even more insane than usual (even though my master Annie still beats me by far in that domain...but I don't have my "Paul" at the moment so it tends to calm down my insanity). My fanfic is oogie compared to "Fractured" and it's supposed to be almost about the same scene. If by some miracle you like mine, read that one, it rocks. This is my first fanfiction, and I'm only fourteen, so have pity with your reviews and please be constructive. Shutting up now ! Still hope you like it !
Annie shook her bloody head from right to left. The dark sticky fluid was obscuring her vision, making it difficult for her to see the exit of the barn.
She knew she was dying. Despise her insanity, she could feel it in her flesh, her blood...
What was rest of her mind.
But she couldn't die.
"Paul...Oh Paul!" she thought desperately, and that thought was just as agonising as her physical pain.
How could she be with him forever if she died before she disposed...
-(killed)-
...of him ?
Annie fell on the floor. The blood pouring out from her body was making her weak and tired.
Dead tired...
She started crawling towards the exit, pulling her chainsaw along with her.
She loved him. She had to kill him (and this time, she deliberately thought the word kill), in order to bring him peace, to bring him to her. Annie couldn't die until that was done.
And then she would kill herself, and they would go to heaven and be together forever, both of them. Her and Paul. Paul and her. Together.
She had saved him and was going to do it once more, only in a different way, by putting an end to his misery.
-(no more pain killers.)-
Misery.
He had lied to her, tricked her.
That made Annie's blood boil in rage.
But she loved him.
She loved him, so she had to forgive him, but at the same time, in order for them to be equal during the time of final judgment, she also needed to punish him for what he had done.
-(two in one.)-
Annie knew that, even though Paul had been a dirty birdie, he had, after all, still written Misery, the best book character of all time.
With that and her unconditional love and admiration, he had to go to paradise too.
They were meant to be, and God himself had sent her to help him, to guide him on what Annie believed to be the "right" path.
So why was he so stubborn and refused to accept it ?
Tears mixed with the blood pouring down from Annie's face.
She rubbed it on the floor as to get rid of them. Crying was for the weak.
And Annie Wilkes, as insane and miserable as she felt, was not weak.
Annie stopped. She felt too tired to continue moving, no matter how much she wanted to. And yet, she had to. If she didn't, Paul would never be with her and love her the way he was supposed to.
Annie Wilkes' last thought before the world finally painted black was :
"I...I love you Paul..."
And her grip released around the chainsaw.
