Disclaimer: I don't own any characters in the story except for Tsukiyomi Akane and Hoshimiya Hikari! :) For those who have been reading my other interview/story, I decided to finally try and start a REAL fanfic story! XD and of course its going to be about Katekyo Hitman Reborn cuz its my fave anime :p I'm not a very creative writer or anything so most of my language is simple to understand so don't be mad T^T I'm only in middle school…by the way this is based on the anime but I added in some characters with a little bit of a twist…oh and this is a HibarixOCxYamamoto fanfic...So Enjoy!

I promise the story will get better and more detailed as time goes on because I will try to improve as a writer and widen my vocabulary!

Chapter 1: The Meeting

"I'll be going now mom," I said while running out of my house.

"Take care of yourself!" my mother answered back.

I ran out of my house, sprinting towards Namimori Chuu. I was now in high school and Namimori Chuu is the school that I'm currently enrolled in. It wasn't a huge or well known school, but it was more than enough in my standards. Something peaceful and small was what I wanted and my mother had granted that will for me.

As I ran through the familiar streets of my neighborhood, I couldn't help but stare up at the skies blankly. It was the start of a new school year, but I was hardly interested or excited about it. It didn't matter what year it was. Life was still the same. Everything was dull, tedious, and boring. Nothing new would happen and my school years would pass by slowly.

It was like the same roll of film rewinded itself after every 365 days.

With my violet eyes staring up at the skies, I couldn't help but wish that this year...something new and exciting would happen. The wind caressed my blue locks of hair around as I sprinted through the roads.

There has to be more to life than this...

"Akane!" a familiar voice yelled out my name. I turned around and saw that a certain red-headed and green-eyed girl was running breathlessly towards me. She was someone that I knew very well...and someone that I would call a friend. I stared back at the said girl.

"Good Morning," I greeted her as she halted in front of me with a wide grin on her face. She was as cheerful as always.

"Did you finish yesterday's homework yet?" She asked as we both started to walk alongside each other to the school gates.

"I did it last night. Although the teacher said that it was going to be complicated, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. It wasn't really that hard, right?" I replied as she raised an eyebrow.

"Really? Well I almost died trying. I don't even know if I got the right answers," she sheepishly grinned and laughed. I just sighed and ignored the frivolous girl.

"Are you ignoring me, Akane?" she suddenly asked.

"In case you haven't noticed, yes I am," I answered back. She was pouting.

"Why?" she asked back. I sighed and kneaded my forehead with my fingers.

"Hoshimiya, your voice is way too loud on an early monday morning. Just keep your voice controlled. You're making my ear drums bleed," I said as she suddenly frowned and turned away.

"I did tell you to call me Hikari. Anyways, sorry for being loud and by the way, we're about to be late," she said, completely ignoring my previous insult at her and pointed towards the school gates that were now merely a few steps in front of our eyes.

"Hikari, your clock is probably wrong. We still have more than twenty minutes," and as soon as I said that sentence, she blinked and stared down at the watch on her wrist, only to face palm in return.

"...Sorry, ignore my stupidity," she said with a sigh. I rolled my eyes and we walked passed the school gates together.

Although I was ignoring her, I didn't dislike her company. With the fact that I hardly had any friends, having someone who was willing to talk to me was something that I didn't mind at all...or to put it simply, it made me happy.

I didn't have that many friends, unlike her.

She was a cheerful girl, who excelled in sports and she always seemed to have that bright aura around her. She was something that I could never be, not that I wanted to be in the first place. She had always told me that if I wanted to be like her, I needed to drop my uncaring attitude and open myself up more to the world. According to her, I was too much of an introvert for my own good...

But I liked it that way. Being simple, invisible, and quiet. I liked being that way.

"Will you go out with me?"

Hikari and I both froze. We turned around and looked for the person who was confessing to someone. My eyes landed on one of the famous students. His nickname was "Dame-Tsuna", which came from his real name Sawada Tsunayoshi. His hair defied the laws of gravity and he was a timid and shy young boy...

Although what shocked me more was the fact that he was confessing to the most popular girl in the whole school who was named Kyoko in only his underwear, not to mention that his underwear were in-fact printed with polka dots.

Just like I suspected, Kyoko looked quite shocked and started to run to school, escaping his wrath. It was an expected response, because nobody was sane enough to accept someone's confession when they're in their boxers. The poor boy looked heart-broken and sad.

Hikari had nudged me in the shoulder, motioning for me to ignore the poor boy and walk away. I watched as Hikari started walking into the school and was about to follow her when my body immediately froze.

There was something about this boy...something peculiar about him. There was a small, yet furious orange flame burning on his head, yet his hair remained un-charred. Something about him made me feel that if I missed this chance, I would regret it for the rest of my life...

And before I knew it, I was walking towards him. He noticed me and stared at me, face flushed, clearly embarrassed of his own actions. I halted in front of him and lightly patted him on the shoulder.

"Don't give up, but next time come with proper clothing…" He stared back at me and his face turned red. It was an obvious reaction, as he just let about 20 people see his underwear. All I can say is that his reputation was now completely ruined, not that he had any in the first place.

"Oh I um…I didn't mean to do this but a baby shot me with a weird bullet and I just happened to lose control over myself…" Tsuna replied back while fidgeting with his hands.

"...Exactly what kind of baby carries around a gun? I bet you're just hallucinating. Are you sure you haven't been eating anything weird the past few days?" I asked him.

"What?...NO! I'm not lying!" He yelled back. I raised an eyebrow.

"Sorry, but I don't quite believe your story. By the way, we're about to be late so you might want to start sprinting now," I said as I pointed to the school gates. He blinked before gasping. He immediately picked up his bag and ran into the school.

"T-Thank you for reminding me!" he yelled before disappearing inside the school.

I merely stared at his disappearing back. I sighed as I started running into the school with one thought in my mind: "Should I have reminded him that he was still in his boxers?"

I ran as fast as I could to my classroom door. Before the last bell rang, I quickly opened the door and ran inside, only to hit someone in the process, knocking both of us down. I fell onto the ground on my back as I groaned in pain.

"Oww…"

I rubbed the back of my head as I sat back up on the floor. Someone's hand was held out in front of me. I stared at the hand and looked up at the person who was standing in front of me.

"Hey, are you ok? Can you stand?"

"Huh? Oh I'm ok, sorry for bumping into you like that," I apologized.

He was a bit taller than me. Okay, maybe not a bit but more like 6 inches. I wasn't short like Tsuna but I wasn't considered tall either. The boy in front of me had black spiky hair and amber-colored eyes that sparkled in the sunlight. His skin was slightly tanned.

He had a bright smile on his face. I immediately recognised the boy as Yamamoto Takeshi. That smile was a wonderful feature of his. He always had a smile on his face which made the atmosphere around him great as well. And also-

"Um, you should come in now before the teacher comes." He interrupted me.

"What? Oh! Yeah ok." I answered back in short sentences. I walked into the classroom and took my seat. After what seemed like forever, the teacher finally came in. He was talking about the start of a new year and other boring stuff as normal.

I swear I wanted to just jump up, kick him in the head once, and tell him to shut up and hurry up with the lesson, not that I was looking forward to the lessons much, but it was much better than listening to him blab on and on about friendship and bonds.

After the teacher finished his so called speech about a new start to a new year, he said that a new student was to join us.

The door opened with a loud bang as I jumped in my seat. I turned to look at the newcomer. He was very…unique I would say. His hair was silver white like an old person's hair and he clearly had a bad temper. He had green mossy eyes and a harsh glare. Must be a gangster kind of kid.

Anyone could tell that because he was kicking over chairs and tables like an annoying bastard who had personal problems. Although it was quite a surprising to me that he chose to kick over Dame-Tsuna's chair and table.

Did Tsuna do anything to make him angry? Likely yes. Tsuna was too ignorant for his own good. The new student's name was Gokudera Hayato and he came from Italy.

"Let's see which chair is available...ah! You can sit next to Tsukiyomi-san. She's the one in the third row with the dark blue hair. You can tell right?" said the teacher. At that, I snapped back into the real world, staring at the bad-tempered guy who was striding across the classroom towards me.

He walked down the aisle, glared at me, and sat down with his legs on top of the table, arms crossed. He suddenly turned towards me.

"Oi, woman. Don't talk to me or look at me at all. It's annoying," He snapped while glaring at me. My eyes twitched. He was definitely looking for trouble and I was more than glad to answer his plead.

"Sure. Not like I was going to talk to an annoying brat like you," He shot me a daring glance, telling me to repeat it again. I said everything through my eyes.

"Che, stupid woman," He commented and turned back to the board which the teacher was writing some math questions on.

I mentally sighed and tried my best to resist the urge to punch the boy in the face. I can't believe that I'm going to be stuck with him for a year. It was true that I wished for a change but this was not the change that I wanted...

But even an annoying gangster beats boredom.

After class was over, I had lunch with Hikari. Although we didn't talk a lot for the first few minutes but she kept throwing questions at me.

"Hey, did you see the new kid today? He was in your class right? Oh My Gosh I'm going to faint! He's soooo cool looking and his attitude is cool too, just like a prince! KYAH~" she screamed in a high pitch tone.

I almost spat out my apple juice. Is she nuts? Does she have bad sense in men? That gangster was anything BUT a prince. Then again, maybe it was only myself who thought so, after all, he managed to get a fan club on his first day of school.

Although I admit he does have the looks, but his attitude needs to be fixed real badly.

After that, I went to take a small walk around the school. I did have some time left before the next class started. I walked to where the water fountains were to take a drink but I saw a very interesting scene.

Dame-Tsuna was in his underwear again, while shouting the word ''REBORN'' like a maniac. Not like this seemed weird because he was the same insane guy, who confessed in his boxers this morning.

More interesting is that the new boy Gokudera was holding…DYNAMITES? Plus he lit them and threw them at Tsuna. I gaped at the scene in front of me. What are they doing?! Suddenly, Gokudera accidentally dropped a few dynamites around him.

I watched as Tsuna pulled an amazing stunt and rapidly sprinted around the scene, clasping his hands over the fire on each dynamite, stopping them from exploding. I couldn't help but think in my head that maybe he isn't Dame after all.

He may be useless in other things, but I can tell that he has a good heart because he had helped someone that was about to hurt him. I also believe that Gokudera knows that too because he knelt down in front of Tsuna, saying that he wanted to become his right hand man…wait WHAT?

He looked like he has a dog tail wagging with puppy eyes.

I sweat dropped.

He looked so different than when he was acting cold. He looks more…free and cute like a lost dog.

I just saw Yamamoto Takeshi pop out of the corner saying that he wanted to join something like the Mafia game that a small kid wearing a suit was saying. I didn't know that a baby could talk. Was this the baby that Tsuna was talking about this morning? Just then the small baby waved ad motioned for me to come closer.

"Ciaossu! You've been watching for a long time right?" asked the baby.

"What? Well yeah," I replied back, emotionless.

"Oh, you're the girl I bumped into this morning! I didn't notice you...what technique did you use to hide yourself?" Yamamoto suddenly asked with a grin.

"Uh.…" I sweat dropped at his question. Is this guy...for real?

"Oh you're the girl that I met at the gates this morning," Tsuna said with a smile.

"Yeah. Do you know my name?" I asked back out of curiosity.

"Umm…sorry but I'm not sure…" he replied back, sheepishly smiling at me. I shook my head.

"It's fine. My name is-" I started but got cut off by a certain baby.

"Tsukiyomi Akane. A normal girl that is small and thin, but despite her looks, she is known to have a bad attitude and acts like a cold-hearted introvert. That is why people around her call her a Marionette, who doesn't have feelings for anyone. Most people do not know about the fact that she knows how to fight and uses a twin sword as her weapon," informed Reborn.

All I could do was stare blankly back at the baby. "…Are you perhaps a stalker? Because you sure sound like one and you're about to piss me off…talking about my personal profile like that…" I answered back with a small glare.

"Hmm…then do you want to join the Mafia game? We are like a family after all!" said Yamamoto with a grin on his face.

"OI! Don't just decide that by yourself! I AM THE RIGHT HAND MAN OF JUUDAIME! You, baseball maniac and you, stupid woman are not going to steal this position from me. EVER!" He yelled out loud.

"Not like I wanted to in the first place…but about that question…I think…I'll join," I replied back changing from my emotionless face to one that had a small smile on my face.

Something about them just peaked my interest...and they could clearly help beat my boredom.

"Oh! You just smiled! And nice decision! I welcome you to the team!" said Yamamoto while patting my shoulder.

I just noticed that they were walking to class while arguing again about things like being the right hand man and who is the better one. I blinked at the scene and just shrugged at their actions.

We all walked away and went to class. Meanwhile no one heard what the baby behind us was saying.

"...Tsukiyomi Akane. We'll see how things go."

And then, he disappeared.

And that was the fated day that drew several weathers to my darkened sky and changed my whole life...
