Say Yes
Summary: Kurt recalls the special moment when Blaine proposed to him when their children ask him about it. Set in the future. The proposal takes place between season three and four.
Kurt and Blaine were watching a movie with their children Toronto and Elizabeth when the question was asked.
"Dad, how did daddy propose to you?" Elizabeth asked.
Blaine and Kurt smiled at eachother before Kurt started the story.
"I was on my way to my locker since it was the end of the day and I was ready to go home, when i was bombarded by your aunts."
"Ladies, is this some kind of intervention, or..."
"Oh hush you." Merceded answered laughing.
"Don't worry, we're not going to kill you or anything." Rachel stated.
"Now I'm worried."
"Would you chill. We're here." Santana scolded.
"The auditorium?" Kurt asked confused.
"Sit down in the front and all will be revealed to you in time." Rachel ordered dragging him to a seat.
They took seats behind him just as Blaine came out on the stage.
He smiled reassuringly at Kurt before picking up a microphone that was sitting on a stool beside him.
"Kurt, I asked the ladies to bring you here today because I have something important to discuss with you. In less than four months your leaving for New York, and I'm going to be stuck here finishing my senior year. Now, I love you too much to ask you to stay here for me. However, I also love you too much to let you go without telling you exactly how I feel. Which is why I brought you here today."
"Kurt, you are the love of my life and I can't wait any longer to let everyone know that. So, I'm going to take the advice of someone near and dear to me, and tell you the best way I know how."
Just then the Glee boys walked out, carrying stools, and placed them beside the stool that Blaine had sitting there. Blaine smiled at them before sitting on his own stool and signaling to Brad.
"We've only known eachother since the moment we met but it seems like forever to me.
I haven't figured out the perfect way to say it yet but I suppose, at times like these
A man should get down on his knees.
How'd you like to be in my wedding, and how'd ya like to walk down the isle?
You could be the center of attention, everyone would look at you and smile.
We could send our friends, invitations, and you could wear a long white dress.
If you'd like to be in my wedding, darlin', all you have to do is say, "Yes".
Your folks could be seated in the very front row, and cry when we all turn to look at you.
We could cut the cake and we could strike a pose, like the little bitty plastic bride and groom.
And then begin our life long honeymoon.
How'd you like to be in my wedding, and how'd ya like to walk down the isle?
You could be the center of attention, everyone would look at you and smile.
We could send our friends, invitations, and you could wear a long white dress.
If you'd like to be in my wedding, darlin', all ya have to do is say "Yes"
Say yes, say yes.
(How'd you like to be in my wedding)
Please say yes.
(How'd you like to be in my wedding)
Say yes.
(How'd ya like to be in my wedding)
How'd ya like to be in my wedding?
How'd ya like to be in my wedding?
How'd ya like to be in my wedding?"
"By the end of the song we were all in tears." Kurt sniffled. "And I was ready to jump on the stage," Kurt quickly corrected himself. "And, tell your daddy yes."
Blaine chuckled beside him.
"But your daddy being your daddy, still had some talking to do."
"I couldn't let you go to New York without you truly knowing how much you mean to me."
"Are you going to shut up and let me answer now or do I need to come up and shut you up the only way I know how?"
"Dude!" Finn yelled.
"Shut it Hudson!"
"You never answered!" Blaine called out over them.
"Yes, you dummy!"
"Did you live happily ever after?" Toronto asked.
"Yes, yes we did." Blaine answered smiling.
