DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own Sephiroth, nor do I own Aralyn. This is a surprise Valentine's fluff oneshot for Flutist Girl because she is an uber awesome friend and deserves this! Maybe, if she wants me to, I'll do another to show how it got broken.

Happy Valentine's Day Flutist Girl!!

Unbroken Wing

Sephiroth swept his hand across the thick comforter on the four post bed, leaving a tiny object upon the pillows. There. His present was almost finished. He took one last look around the house, straightening anything that even suggested being uneven. He laughed at himself; he was being worse than the janitors at headquarters.

With that last thought, he stalked outside, spreading his wing out, and heading to where the ceremonies would take place.

*~*~*

The walk to Faramir had been long, but worth every moment of it. Sephiroth, as an afterthought, concluded that he must have been very happy to have not thrown Zack off of the mountain.

Walking through the mansion of a house, Aralyn had been left breathless, awed on the grand splendor. Sephiroth thought humorously that he might have overdone it. He chuckled wryly to himself. Given the choice, he most certainly would not have done it any other way.

The master bedroom was the grand finale of the tour. White and red rose petals had been scattered with a theatrically dramatic taste across the bed. The four posts, draped with sheer fabric complementing the color of the bedspread, shimmered slightly, fresh from the package.

Aralyn had one hand pressed lightly against her mouth, tears of happiness shining in her eyes as she swept her free hand lightly against the scene, softly treading around the bed. She stopped when she saw the trinket on the pillows, gasping softly as the hiding tears fell. Her shaking hand grazed the black wing so softly, a whisper above it.

"Do you like it?" Sephiroth asked, the first words since they had walked in.

"Oh, Sephiroth, it's so beautiful," Aralyn whispered, her voice wet. Sephiroth stepped forward, his hands lifting the necklace, the black wing that resembled his own, and placed it around Aralyn's thin, pale neck. The black ribbon accented her white skin, reminding him of how, at first, he and Aralyn seemed to contrast, but further investigation would only find how they fit each other, like the raised notes and the keys of a music box.

Walking dreamily to the mirror, Aralyn stroked the necklace lovingly.

"Now I can keep you with me forever, even when you're on your missions," Araylyn said excitedly.

"Yes," Sephiroth murmured in her ear, wrapping his arms around her from behind. "I'm yours forever."
