Forever in my Heart

When I needed you most,
You were there for me.
When I needed to be alone,
You let me be.
When I needed a friend,
You where on my side.
With you as a friend,
I had nothing to hide.
Then you went to battle,
With your head held high.
Even though I was worried,
I had to say good-bye.
When I finally got to you,
There was not much I could say.
Then you closed your eyes and said,
"We'll meet again someday."
Then you went,
With strength on your part,
And I knew that you,
Were forever in my heart.
