In Vale, Two Weeks after 39th Vytal Festival
While on his mission to gather information on Salem's group and the activities of the Grim, Qrow found something most interesting. He was a man in his thirties who had dark spiky hair and red eyes. Black pants, a gray dress shirt, a cape and black dress shoes. Right now he was wondering whether he was hungover or if he was dead. In the distance was at a place where there was no records of any human settlements in history was a site. A city in the distance covered by a thick fog but it looked like a mushroom. It was extending to the air but the settlement itself was even more unusual.
Qrow was standing on the coast of Saunus and he was surprised to see what was coming out of the water, large monstrous tentacles. They were surrounding the city in the water and were ready to attack anything in site. Qrow was on his way to the next village when he discovered the city. One thing that came to mind was what happened and his first thought was on her.
Salem is known to have an in depth knowledge of many disciplines and ideologies on the world but she wasn't capable of this. The only way a city like this could appear is if someone got the relics but that wasn't the case. Last he checked the relic was still locked in a vault and it wasn't going anywhere without Amber. Still he needed to assess what was going on and report to Ozpin immediately.
Qrow was about to take a step when he sensed something. He was experienced enough to know if someone was trailing him or planning an ambush so he noticed the individual. The huntsman took out his sword ready for an attack. Fortunately he saw it was a Beowolf that was trying to attack him and Qrow proceed to kill it. Later more started charging at him and Qrow proceeded to kill every last wolf in site. After the fight was finished Qrow readied his weapon and focused on getting to the city.
Unknown to him, a woman with black hair wearing a black business and a white dress shirt was standing on a tree branch. In her hands was a device that she swiped from the huntsman when he was fighting the grim. She was sent a couple of hours ago to scout the area around their new world and gather intel. Chain Sumeragi stole the item in order to get information and the man didn't seem like the type to share information. Another reason she took it is to prevent anyone from contacting this world's governments. The brass in the city have no idea what world they are in and want to gather as much information as possible before they proceeded with their next move. A beowolf took notice of the woman and started growling at her. It looked ready to attack and Chain only looked at it in boredom. She faded from the tree branch and disappeared completely in which the grimm was confused over what happened. It turned to the same direction that Qrow went on, ready to hunt a worried prey.
HellSalem's Lot, Libra's Office
Steven A Starphase, a man wearing dark grey pants, blue shirt, a yellow tie and custom shoes which have a cross at the bottom. He was reading reports from the casters who were investigating the recent turn of events. They had no idea what was going and he even sent Leo to help them by looking at the barrier. Leo's contribution allowed them to learn that the barrier was still intact but it doesn't explain where they were. It happened a few days ago when a citizen discovered that Liberty Island was missing. Steven sent Chain to investigate but was surprised to discover when she discovered they were in new territory. Since than Libra was working around the clock to assess the situation.
The door to the office was opened a revealed a young man wearing loose clothes and sneakers. He had a pair of goggles that was hanging around his neck. Compared to the man in the room the boy's eyes were squinting. His name was Leonardo Watch the possessor of the All-Seeing Eyes.
"What did you find out?" Steven asked the boy who rubbed his head.
"Well.. the barrier is still intact but I saw something strange. There's some kind of anchor extending all the way into the ground," Leo told his superior who was thinking deeply.
"Is that all?" Leo nodded a yes to Steven and the man exhaled a lot. He watched as Leo was looking worried and Steven understood the reason. Leonardo like a lot of people in HellSalem's lot had family back on Earth. His sister Michella was on Earth but Steven heard that his family was still looking after her ever since what happened. It was hard for the boy since he was working relentlessly to examine every bit of the city. Bags were under the kid's eyes and the same for him.
"Umm, where is everyone?" Leo was curious to know what everyone was doing.
"Well Zapp and Zed are finishing with the riots. Patrick is checking how much we have in inventory in case we get attacked. Abrams is keeping watch for any blood breed activity. KK is making sure that her family is alright and is moving them to a safer location," Leo smiled in relief that KK's family was alright. Steven couldn't smile at it since not everyone was separated.
"Klaus is meeting with a source to learn what happened. Strange we still have the entrance to the beyond," Leo understood this as not only was their city transported to another reality but the gate to the beyond was still open. Steven expected that they would get swallowed by the gate if another collapse occurred. Leo was in deep thought about it as he was trying to figure it out to help. It wasn't his specialty but he wanted to at least contribute as much as possible
"Hold on what about Chain?" Leo almost forgot about the invisible werewolf. Steven brought up a few photographs that we received from her and showed them to Leonardo. He noticed that they were on black creatures that looked like animals. Another picture showed a village with people in it.
"She sent those and we learned that we are in a reality that has human civilization and unknown creatures. A few of our guys fought them but that is not the most interesting part…When they killed one the creature disappeared immediately."
"She should be back soon with more information. Right now we are trying to reestablish local communications and the HLPD is mobilizing to get ready for a threat." Steven didn't like the situation as they were still in the dark. The door opened again to reveal a tall Red Haired man wearing a black waistcoat, black pants, white shirt and a red tie. His most distinctive feature was his underbite, green eyes and sideburns. Klaus Von Reinherz the leader of their organization. Next to him was Gilbert F Alstein, an old man who wore a suit and had bandages wrapped around his face.
"Hey did you find anything?" Steven asked his boss. The gentleman was embarrassed at his lack of progress and scratched his head. "Sadly I wasn't able to make much progress on my part. Were you able to find anything Leonardo?" Leo nodded a yes and explained what he said to Steven which made Klaus distressed. Leonardo's eyes only proved that their situation was more dire than they expected.
"Are you doing alright Leonardo?" Klaus asked the young member as he was concerned about how Leo felt. "Yeah I'm managing," Leo quietly said which made the room silent. "Steven?" Klaus turned to his friend.
"Well I haven't slept much in the last few days. I bet the same can be said about most of us right now," Klaus agreed with them as he was working nonstop in the last few days as well. A dark haired woman appeared out of nowhere and knelt on the table.
"Chain what did you find?" the woman pulled a phone out of her pocket and opened it. "Huh, looks like a smartphone," Steven commented on the design and examined it himself. There were apps on the phone and Steven pressed the map app. A map showed up and all three members saw five landmasses on it. Leo and Klaus looked over it to see for themselves as well.
"At least we have a map now," Steven exited the app and continued looking through it more to see if there was a news app for them to use. Since they learned there were humans around there must have be at least some kind of civilization. A news app showed a stream of news and one of them was on riots by what looked like to be a group of animal men. All three of them looked at the image and understood the context of it. Signs like "We are not animals" gave it away. Best to have Gilbert to examine everything thought Steven as he gave to the man. Gilbert bowed in acknowledgement and proceeded to gather intelligence. The phone began to ring and Klaus answered it. Both Leo and Steven watched the display
"Hello? Blitz is everything alright? What! Understood we will head out immediately," Klaus put the phone down and his expression became hardened. Steven recognized this look as there were only a few things that would trigger it. The safety of his colleagues and times of crisis which meant that a blood breed was on a move. Both Steven and Leo get intimidated by it but they both understand.
"Where is it?" Steven asked Klaus. "It's between 50th and 51st and is heading West," Steven's head perked up at that as he remembered information on a village being in that direction. The Blood Breed was heading there in order to see what this world had to offer. Right now they don't want anyone to know they were here before they had a better understanding of the world. They needed to be in control if they were stuck in this world indefinitely.
Klaus, Steven, Leo and Gilbert head into the car ready to confront the blood breed that was trying to head out of the city.
Outside on the Outskirts of HellSalem's Lot
Qrow didn't understand how he lost it but it was bugging him. His scroll was somehow missing and the huntsman couldn't notify Ozpin. The city wasn't that far from him and Qrow had no way to send word over what he found. He did plan to get a feel for the city and rush back to Vale to tell Ozpin about this. Although he was a bit hesitant to step in as he felt something off about the city. He snuck past a couple of humans who were patrolling the area and even saw a strange creature in their ranks. It wasn't sensible to confront armed men who seemed agitated.
"Reminds me a bit of Violet versus Crimson. Only hundred times more weird," Qrow mumbled to himself. He took a step forward as he was probably the only huntsman within miles.
In the distant he saw someone walk towards him and Qrow readied his weapon. The person had long flowing hair and incredibly pale skin as well. His choice of attire consisted of blue pants as well as a yellow jacket. The man had very red eyes more red than his sister's eyes.
"Ohh hello there. Are you a native of this world?" the creature asked casually. Qrow glared at the man before him. It was best to ask questions while he can.
"I guess you came from there," Qrow nodded and the man laughed a bit at his statement.
"Beautiful isn't it? Your world is very fortunate to have such an event happen," the man waved his arms around as if he was praising. "Why is that?" Qrow focused more on the being who continued smiling at him.
"A city trapped in one realm comes to another. Best of all it still has the door to the world of fog," the man smiled sinisterly at Qrow. The huntsman wasn't happy since he learned why there was a fog over the city.
"Well I shouldn't keep you waiting. You are a tourist after all," the man continued walking casually as he showed no fear of Qrow.
"Where are you going?" Qrow pulled his weapon and readied into a stance. The man smirked at him. "Ohh, I just want to give my greetings to the people of your world. I do want to greet," smiling with sinister intent he rushed in front of Qrow and prepared his attack. Blood came out of his arm and formed into a claw that he could use to stab at Qrow. Qrow noticed this and dodged the attack before it had a chance to strike.
"Excellent reaction. Are there others like you?" the blood breed was smiling at Qrow who was still processing the speed of his enemy. He created a weapon out of his own blood as Qrow observed and he must be capable of using his blood in other ways. The huntsman was trying to think of different ways to defeat the monster before him and decided to go with decapitating his head. This guy gave off the wrong vibes and clearly wasn't human. He could tell that the man had no regard for life so Qrow was willing to cut loose.
"I have plenty of time to spare. Entertain me for a bit," the blood breed decided to turn his blood into a sword. The guy was cocky and it seemed he wanted to enjoy the match before he left. He charged at Qrow and slashed at him in which Qrow responded with a dodge and slashed at him. A large cut was on the man's chest in which Qrow realized that his opponent didn't have Aura. Valuable information and Qrow dodged back to transform his weapon to it's shotgun form. The huntsman shot at the creature while circling around him but he only saw a smile.
"Your weapon can transform? A gun no less, are there are other forms?" the blood breed was gleeful at what the weapon could turn into. Qrow continued shooting at the creature who was smiling at the display. He then used his aura to enhance his speed to charge at his opponent. Slashing at the opponent but the creature was parrying each strike but Qrow wasn't letting down his guard. He then ducked and slashed at the man's waist and dashed away from him. Sadly his strike didn't do anything as the creature's body was still intact.
What is he made of? Forget decapitation, if he can simply regenerate like that. My best chance is to destroy the head completely. Still have some fire dust left as well as ice too. Maybe that will work if I can get the head. What worries me is that he is not even trying. I got to do it before he gets serious.
Qrow didn't show his fear as he formulated his plan. Dust ammunition was taken out of his pocket and he loaded it into his weapon and readied his sword. First he needed to chip away at the armor first. Again using his aura enhanced speed he rushed to commence his sword strikes but this he sliced at the enemy by making slashes at his blindspots. The blood took note and blocked each hit with his blood. He tried to stab him with his blood sword but Qrow blocked and let the blade slide on his sword. As he saw the exposed wrist, Qrow slid his sword past the blade and slashed at it. The blood breed's hand clutching the sword was kicked off by Qrow and the huntsman transformed his blade once again to its shotgun mode.
He shot at the the opponent repeatedly in which his body was getting covered in ice and the blood breed eyes widened in surprise at this. Shotgun shots used to freeze the enemy? What are the bullets made out of? The Blood Breed couldn't understand and saw the warrior continue shooting at him. His body was completely covered in ice and Qrow made one last shot at the head to leave completely encased in ice. Qrow then slashed at the neck of his opponent which sent the blood breed's head flying. Last he used his fire dust to infuse with his weapon and stabbed into the head. Fire engulfed the target and continued burning till there was nothing left. The battle was over and Qrow looked to see the frozen body.
One of the most intense battles in his life and Qrow used the last of his dust to defeat this monster. His attention was then turned back to the city and thought about what else is in that city. If a monster like this creature also lived there than there is no telling what else is there. Only one decision can be considered and that is heading back to Vale and warning the rest of the world. This is required all huntsman for dealing with this city.
"Ohh you destroyed the head. Not a bad decision but unfortunately it is futile," the blood breed talked as his head regenerated and his face returned. "I never knew there was a substance that can freeze your enemy or burn them. How interesting," the blood breed freed himself from the ice. Qrow was shocked that the monster survived decapitation and even the destruction of its head. He was a complete monster and Qrow had no means to completely destroy a body.
The village. Qrow needed to head back to the village but there was no way he could outrun his enemy. He would tire himself eventually and get killed. He was out of options and he had no way in beating this monster.
"If that is all you are capable than I have no reason to waste more time," the blood breed turned his blood into to large claws and tried to grab Qrow. Qrow was automatically moving dodging the claws as he tried to think how to get away. He needed to get away and he had to find a way to slow the creature. Grimm. They could help as this monster was oozing with malice plus he was curious. If he used them it can help him to get away and save the village.
Qrow started dodging and moving towards the city to keep the monster there. If there is life in a city like the one he was seeing than it would attract Grimm. It wasn't a grim thought but Qrow had to take advantage of it to warn the village. The blood Breed looked at Qrow and was surprised by what he was thinking. Moving closer to the city from where he was from despite learning about it. He was either suicidal or crazy the Blood Breed thought.
"Perhaps you can still entertain me," the blood breed followed the Huntsman as he followed his plan. He would welcome a death stalker just about now or even fifty Goliaths. The only plan he had but the only viable. As he ran he noticed a woman standing on a branch holding a Camera recording the fight. Qrow had no time to think on it as he continued to dodge the monster's attack.
Away from them Chain took out her phone and made a call. "I found him, he is heading south to you guys. Be ready for him," the werewolf chased after them to continue with her mission. The human was good but it wouldn't be long before the blood breed started getting serious.
She watched as the blood claws were trying to grab the warrior but he kept dodging them. Chain kept jumping from branch to branch quietly. To the east of her is a team that would confront the blood breed. They would arrive to them in about ten minutes but she wasn't sure that the man could last much longer. If he hoped to use those creatures to win the fight than he was wrong. She discovered that the Grimm kept their distance from the city in which she didn't know why. Right now she needed to make sure the blood Breed stayed near to the city.
Qrow continued his sprint but he noticed that there were no Grim in sight which worried him. The monster continued with his chase with an ecstatic smile as if he was looking forward to what other tricks he had. Qrow was getting worried over where the Grimm were. With the stress he was in and the worry he had it should attracted a pack of beowolves but not a single one was in sight. The huntsman couldn't call for backup due to not having his phone. His opponent stared at his prey waiting for his opponent to make his move.
"Haha you are out of moves! Shame I was expecting more from you," the monster gloated at the huntsman. Qrow observed the creature and realized that he is only keeping him alive due to how surprising Qrow was. Keeping himself alive was the only goal he had right now but he was running out of options. He caught wind of the black haired woman again who was standing on the tree branch. It was out of the blood breed's view and so she couldn't be seen.
That woman again. She's been following us….
Chain put her hand and showed four fingers. She then pointed to the right of herself and then pointed to the spot where he was standing.
She wants to help me now? Guess I will have to keep him entertained.
Qrow took his weapon and put more shotgun rounds into his sword before gripping it with both of his hand. "What is your next trick?" the blood breed watched as he heard gears turn from the blade. The blade on Qrow's weapon started to change shape as it curved more to the side and the shotgun barrel became more exposed. The grip started to extend till it was on the ground. Qrow was winging it now and it was his only option right now to beat his opponent.
"Ohh another form. The humans of this world are creative. I thank you so much for showing me and I will indulge you before I kill you," Qrow readied his scythe as he prepared for battle. The huntsman took out his scroll to check his Aura level. It wasn't in the red but he needed to make the most of it if he wanted to survive.
"Now shall we end this," the blood breed brought his blood claws back and back to his original form. Qrow used his Aura enhanced speed to charge in and started swinging his weapon. "That will not work," the blood breed looked at his opponent mockingly.
"I don't need to kill you. Only need to hack you so I can get away," Qrow shouted at his opponent. "I thought you forgot how to speak. When did you find your tongue," the blood breed smirked as Qrow pressed a switch on his weapon. A shotgun blast was made and the scythe moved faster as the blood breed got slashed again. Qrow took advantage of the momentum from the blast to make more slashes at him. He jumped back when the blood breed tried to last out with his blood.
"What will this do? You can't kill me," the blood breed mocked the huntsman. Qrow jumped back into the fight with his scythe and continued with his slashes at the creature. "I don't need to kill you. Just need to tear you apart," The huntsman revealed his trump card as he used the weapon to make swift brutal strikes to damage his opponent as much as possible.
Qrow then used his aura again to continue slashing in which the blood breed was surprised at the speed his opponent was going at. He wasn't stopping it was as if he was a blur right now. The Blood Breed realized the hunter was cutting it loose now by how he was commencing these attacks. Where did this confidence come from thought the blood breed as he continued to fight. There is no way he has allies with him his attitude from earlier showed it. So many questions in his head as he continued to defend against these attacks.
Qrow noticed the concern in his opponent and knew it was only a matter of time before he figured out what Qrow is up to. The huntsman noticed that a tree had a bullet hole along with several other trees. It gave him an idea and he continued his strikes to wear away his opponent. The blood breed manipulated his blood to strike Qrow but the huntsman noticed it and jumped back to avoid it. Blood Breed started to charge at where Qrow retreated but the warrior smiled at him. A tree started to fall on the two in which Qrow attacked at the Blood Breed with his weapon and side stepped to another position.
The tree was torn to pieces by his opponent and he continued chasing Qrow. The Huntsman was in front of another tree and surprisingly it started falling down on the Blood Breed again. Again the creature was confused by this and watched as Qrow jumped back to another tree. "Damn it, did he do that. No it was still standing and suddenly starts to fall. Is he hiding something else?" The blood breed looked at the huntsman who seemed confidant about his actions.
Qrow was looking at his opponent and saw the woman again. She put up one finger to signify the total amount of time he had left. Guess I need to play the part.
"Something is not right. If he had this ability couldn't he have used it to escape. Unless there is a requirement for it. Right now he is just slashing me. Wait is it possible that his objective is to not escape. He is buying time. Dammit, I got carried away and there is no way he knows anyone in that city. Hang on," the blood breed was looking around to see if anyone else was here beside him. It was bad the blood breed thought and he needed to escape. The being felt something watching him as if someone saw right through him.
Brain Grid Blood Battle Technique!
Klaus jumped into the battle between Qrow and the blood breed and punched into the enemy.
Val Roo Junka Halwoe, I hereby seal you.
The blood breed's eyes widen in fear as this man knew his felt immense pain as the technique took effect.
Despise me. Forgive Me. Resign Yourself. I only commit such acts of brutality to protect mankind.
Form 999 - Ewigkeit Gefangnis
The blood breed put its arms out and was being transformed into a small red cross. Qrow watched the site and knew that he was done. He was able to succeed in buying time. The scythe was transformed back into its previous state. He sat down to finally relax from what was probably one of the most difficult fights he ever had.
"Are you alright, sir," Klaus went up to the man to see if he was alright. Qrow nodded a yes and patted the air a bit to show he was fine. His appearance was something the huntsman thought but he wasn't going to be rude.
"Thank you for your assistance in keeping the blood breed contained, sir," Klaus bowed to the man and Qrow noticed the black haired woman come down to where the sealed blood breed was. She picked up the cross to transport.
"You finally show up," Qrow told the woman. She gave a thumbs up to him and looked to see Leo, Steven and Gilbert come over. Qrow mumbled a bit at what the woman did. It felt like she was patronizing him.
"Who are you anyway?" Qrow decided to ask the one who saved him.
"My name is Klaus Von Reinherz," Klaus gave his hand to Qrow in which the huntsman shake it.
"Qrow Brawnwen, I'm a huntsman" he stated calmly. The huntsman got up and looked to where the other people who came were.
"Who is this?" Steven asked as he and Leo approached the two people.
"This Qrow Brawnwen. He helped keep the blood breed contained," Steven said an ahh at the guy.
"I'm guessing that you guys came from that city," Qrow asked the people. The three men nodded a yes while Chain was handing the sealed blood breed to Gilbert.
"You mind telling me what is going," Qrow asked as Klaus and Steven looked between each other.
"Well we might as well explain," Steven casually replied.
Qrow sat down as he listened to what the scarfaced man had to tell him about the city. Leonardo observed the two men and he opened his eyes to see Qrow's aura. He saw how it extended away from him and it was dark. The Libra member continued standing as Steven explains what happened a couple of days ago.
Notes: I had this idea for a while to have Blood Blockade Battlefront for a crossover story. It is one of my favorite series and I wanted to write a story with characters I love from both series. Please don't haze as this is a one shot and they can change. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy your weekend.
