Dalliance

Definition - A casual romantic or sexual relationship

Blaise looked around the room, eyebrows raised and then over towards Charlie Weasley.

"Really? I may be about to die and you're going to sequester me here? I think I'd prefer to get killed than sleep on those sheets."

"In that case, you can sleep on the sofa."

Blaise had been impressed by this particular Weasley. In fact, if he was going to be stuck under house arrest 'for his own protection', at least it was with a man that looked absolutely gorgeous. On top of that, Charlie seemed to simply smile or have a quick comeback, unphased by any of Blaise's acerbic remarks.

"Hardly," Blaise sniffed. "I'll just not sleep, or cast some cleaning charms."

"I'm surprised you know any."

Blaise ignored the jibe and carefully cleaned the dust off the bed, adding several sanitation charms to be sure.

"Besides Blaise, you're not about to die." Charlie continued "That's precisely why I'm here."

"Yes, yes I know. Your Order is oh so grateful for the information I've given, and they've guaranteed my safe passage out of the country, but for the time being I have to go into hiding with you as my bodyguard." Blaise rolled his eyes. "I was listening."

"Good. I thought you were just checking out my biceps. That's the fifth macabre joke you've made, do you mind laying off?"

Blaise felt his cheeks warm, glad of his darker complexion which hid the blush.

"Well then, you provide the conversation."

He didn't expect Charlie (since apparently they were now on first name basis) to comply but he did, sitting down at a rickety table and pull out a packet of cards, shuffling them on the table.

"Want to play poker?"

"I only play strip poker, actually."

Charlie didn't say anything, merely raised his eyebrow with a smirk. Blaise had never been one to turn down from a challenge and there was hardly anything else to do, plus he would be lying if he wasn't attracted to broad shoulders and the confidence Charlie exuded.

"What are you plans for your new life then?" Charlie asked. How long they'd been playing now, Blaise wasn't sure but he had lost his socks and trousers whilst Charlie was topless.

"Nothing really different to what my plan has been my whole life. Fuck beautiful people, drink good wine and work on my tan. Hard work never killed anybody, but I figure, why take the chance?"

That made Charlie laugh. Blaise, unable to stop his own smile, asked Charlie what he did and was duly impressed (again) when Charlie explained how he worked with dragons.

Several more hands were played and Blaise watched appreciatively as Charlie slipped his trousers off. Now they were both in boxers and he very deliberately put his cards down on the table.

"Straight flush," he said as he stood up. "Which is funny because I've never been straight a day in my life."

Charlie kissed him with fire, warm hands stroking soft skin and making Blaise gasp.

"Worried about the bed still?" he whispered in Blaise's ear.

"Fuck you."

"Oh I intend too."
