"You'll find your feet at the bottom of your legs; you may care to move them..." The Doctor whispered into Rose's ear as he held her close under the starlight. Rose smiled as she was taken back, inside of her head, to war time England, he had a different face then but she was already starting to fall for him, even then. It had been her that had said the words back then, but now it was Rose's turn to dance.

"But you're human now, are you even sure that you can still dance?" Rose asked with a cheeky smile, it lit up her whole face and the Doctor broke into a similar grin.

"I guess we'll have to find out, won't we?" he raised a dark eyebrow and twirled her on the spot, she burst out laughing as he span her towards him and placed his hand on her hip and shoulder, pulling her closer to him. She placed her head on his shoulder and breathed in his intoxicating scent. The Time Lord Doctor had left only a few hours ago, her mum and the rest of her family were inside the house whilst they danced under the cover of starlight in the small back garden. She felt conflicted, part of her missed the Doctor, wished that she could have climbed back inside of the TARDIS with him and set off on another adventure, but then he was here, in her arms, she could feel his one heart beating against her own, he smelled the same, talked the same, looked the same, he was in every way, the same Doctor that she fell in love with, but he was only human, and that was the problem. She knew that this was her Doctor, someone she could grow old with, live her life with the man that she loved, who could ever complain about that? But she couldn't stop the niggling feeling that she was missing the Doctor.

"You're thinking about him, aren't you?" he asked and Rose looked up to meet his gaze. His eyes were sympathetic and Rose could see that this was hard for him too. In his head, he was in every way, the same Doctor, he had all of the same memories, thoughts, he loved her all the same, but he could tell that this wasn't enough for her.

"No, I'm not. I've got you, and that...that's enough." She forced a smile and watched as his eyes searched both of hers, wishing that this was true. "You're him, aren't you? I mean, you've got all of his memories and everything?"

"Every last one. And with me you get one heart, I'll grow old and die one day. Are you sure that's what you want?" they were still shuffling slightly in the moonlight but now Rose stood still and stared deep into his eyes.

"Absolutely. I get to spend the rest of both of our lives together, plus I get to keep you without the monsters."

"Yeah, but aren't you going to miss the thrill, the far off planets, new species and all of the running?" He smiled in that way that only he could,

"Well there was an insane amount of running involved." She smiled back, raising an eyebrow with her tongue just peeking out between her teeth off to the side. "But now we get to have new adventures. Life doesn't just stop now because we're both human. Human's do things that are thrilling too you know!"

"Human." He sighed, "Well this is...scary." he confessed, laughing through a shaky breath,

"Well that's why you've got me." She said in a low tone, shaking her head and rolling her eyes. "Come on, it's freezing." She took hold of his hand,

"Oh this is strange, how do humans cope with this?" he rubbed his arms and looked thoroughly uncomfortable.

"What?"

"I'm cold, you humans have such poor circulation." He shivered and Rose rolled her eyes once more.

"You're a human now too, remember? And that's what one heart'll do for ya." She led him inside. "Come on, it's my turn to take care of you now. You're on my turf space boy." Her face lit up with a cheeky smile once more, "Our adventures can start tomorrow."
