Cinderella

The ironic thing was, when Leah was little, she loved fairy tales.

Leah used to imagine a prince coming to save her, the princess, and they would live happily ever after.

Now she knew that she wasn't a princess, and there was no happily ever after.

Leah used to believe in love at first sight.

Now she knew that there was only imprinting, the horrible trap sometimes mistaken for love.

Leah used to believe in mermaids, fairies and dragons. She used to believe in places where every day was sunny, and where everything was perfect.

Now she knew that there were only vampires and werewolves, in a place where it only rained and perfection was nowhere to be found.

The ironic thing was, Leah almost had a happy ending.

Now she knew that happy endings only existed in fairy tales.
