Hi Everyone! Yeah, I'm still alive; I just have had a really bad case of the dreaded WRITER'S BLOCK! I'm still stuck on my other stories, but this idea would not leave me alone. So, I'm sorry about slow updates, and will write more for them as soon as possible. In the meantime, enjoy my new fic!

I own nothing. MAR belongs to Nobuyuki Anzai.

-Prologue-

Help! Please! BIG BROTHER!

Nanashi bolted upright, panting. After a few seconds, he calmed down enough to take in his surroundings. Jack was whimpering something about his mother and growing seasons in his sleep. Nanashi thought that was weird, but hey, Jack was a farmboy. Besides, it must be nice to have a mom. Alan was stretched out all over the ground, snoring up a storm. How anyone slept through that, Nanashi wasn't really sure. Alviss was sleeping quietly. He really seemed to be the only one capable of that, so far. Snow was tossing and turning, and Ed was sleeping a safe distance away from her. Dorothy was muttering in her sleep, like Jack, but she was mumbling about what ARM's she wanted. Ginta was passed out, every once in a while letting out a peaceful groan. Everyone was asleep except for Nanashi.

Memories of the cry in his dream started to creep back into Nanashi's head, so he gave it a violent shake. It had been a while since he had that dream. Getting up, he grabbed a stick and started poking at the fire, making the flames dance about. What had made him have that dream? Nanashi gave a heavy sigh. He missed when things had been relatively simple. He never had the dream then. Back then, nothing plagued his thoughts like this. Even trying to remember who he was had died down eventually. But this was determined to torture him, hunting and destroying any good dreams he might have had. It probably always would.

Nanashi deserved it, though. Letting out another sigh, he went back to where he had been sleeping. If the dream came again, then so be it. Maybe, if he was lucky, the dream would grant him the luxury of including the good memories, rather than just the horrible outcome. He hoped it did, he was feeling pretty shaky. Nanashi closed his eyes, letting one more thought flow through his mind before allowing the world of dreams consume him once more.

I'm so sorry. I wasn't there when you needed me, and now I'm paying for it. I'm so sorry, Pirun.

Yep, that's it for the prologue! I watched episode 22, and it has Nanashi remembering Pirun for a little bit. I got curious, so I started looking for stuff with her, and guess what? I FOUND NOTHING! Well, except for a little bit on Nanashi's page on Marpedia. So, I started coming up with something. I will update as soon as I can, but in the meantime, please review!
