Cinderheart POV

I stared lovingly as I watched Cherrykit and Molekit play outside. The looked so cute while running about crazily. Something about it made me wish I was a mother. Maybe one day, I thought, Maybe one day I'll have kits. I jumped as I heard a voice behind me.

"Your really thinking of having kits when you don't even have a mate?"

"Jayfeather you mousebrain! You scared my fur off!" I scolded.

"Oh did I now…" He purred

"Don't you have anything better to do than torment me?" I giggled. He was always busy at this time of day so he should have some work to do.

"Amazingly no," Jayfeather mewed, " To tell you the truth I'm Actually bored."

"IT'S A MIRICAL!" I shouted loudly as everyone turned to stare at me. I laughed hysterically as Jayfeather started blushing wildly.

"Why did you that?", He snapped, "Eveyones gonna think we're crazy now!"

"I'm sorry," I laughed madly, "You just make it to easy!"

Jayfeather gave a low growl, obviously trying to faze me but it just made me laugh harder. I blinked as I heard pawsteps coming up to us, it was Leafpool. I stared up nervously at Jayfeather, he was glaring angrily at Leafpool. Whats going on, why does Leafpool look so… My thoughts we interrupted when Jayfeather started to speak.

"What do you want, Leafpool," He snarled angrily as he continued to glare at Leafpool as if he could she her.

"Jayfeather…" I wimpered. Why was I acting like such a pathetic kit! It was only a little dispute… right? Jayfeather slowly took his eyes off Leapool to stare at me with soft blue eyes.

"Cinderheart, maybe you should go get some rest you look ill," he murmured, Making it obvious he wanted me to leave. I stared at him with wide scared eyes.

"O-okay Jayfeather," I whimpered, shaking from the tension in the air, "I'll go do that." I walked away slowly, feeling the gaze of Leafpool on my back as I went. There was nothing to worry about! Jayfeather was fine! But why… why couldn't I shake the fear I had. He was fine, he's just talking to his mother! No… wait this was more than just fear. What was this feeling…

Jayfeather POV

I sighed as Cinderheart's scent faded. She was so kind, so innocent, I can't bear her feeling pain and worry. It's just to much for some strange reason. I turned back to Leafpool, feeling all my fears for Cinderheart fade as I faced the cat who hurt Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and me.

"Jayfeather…" Leafpool started.

"SHUT UP!" I snarled, "I have nothing to say to you!"

"But I have something to say to you!" She mewed in a motherly tone, "I see the way you look at her… your in love with her Jayfeather and… and I just want to protect you from the pain I went through!"

I glared at my mother with pure hate. She thinks I would put Cinderheart in that kind of position! I would never hurt her that way!

"Leafpool…" ,I struggled to keep my voice from breaking, "I would NEVER do that to Cinderheart, and if you think I would your wrong!"

"Accidents happen Jayfeather"

"Shut up you sad excuse for a cat! You may think your helping but your not so just shut up!"

Taking the chance of Leafpool being in pure shock I ran out of the camp and in to the forest. Once far enough I slowed down. What should I do... I wondered.

"Jayfeather!". I turned around only to feel something come down on me

"WHAT THE- CINDERHEART!". Cinderheart, laughing like a psycho, got off me. "Didn't I tell you to get some rest?"

"I wasn't tired so I was going to hunt, then I saw you walking around!" Cinderheart mewed sweetly

"…And that gave you the signal to attack me?" I asked. I was already trying not to laugh but failed when Cinderheart simply meowed:

"Yep!" she giggled. I burst out laughing.

"Hey, how about we walk around a bit so I can help you find some prey?"

"Okay!"

Together we walked away without a care in the world, just me and Cinderheart
