She was Asian. A "breed" that my father thought was… inferior to full British people like us. Her name was perfectly British, as it was Catherine, Catherine Li. Luckily she was a pure-blood, or else she was just be out of sorts. Arm-pit length shiny black hair (which I might say was very pretty with hair bands), almost black endless eyes, a light olive skin, and an hourglass figure. She could've perfectly have been in Slytherin, I mean, she had the looks, but of course, she just HAD to be in Gryffindor, with Potty and all his minions. She played Qudditch very well, and was the Weasley twin's little doll. No. I am not at all jealous.

"Draco." I turned around and sighed to see Pansy Parkinson, looking at me with dreamy eyes. She leaned in for a kiss, but I turned away and she kissed my shoe. There was Catherine, sitting with the Weasley's, laughing at their pathetic jokes. I snorted and turned back to my mashed potatoes, the first day of another tiring year at Hogwarts. 3rd year, just great. Catherine was a year ahead of me, practically ruining my chances of being with her. She was obviously in a relationship with one of them Weasley's anyway, not sure which, as they both looked the same, and whenever she kissed him my stomach flopped. I know what my father would say, "She's an ASIAN. Let her go, Draco, that Pansy Parkinson could be so much better for you." But I was determined to have her. I straightened my fashionable Slytherin tie and walked up to the Gryffindor table. I cleared my throat and immediately the whole group stopped laughing in pleasure. Catherine turned around and I blushed, attempting to hide the red hue. "Malfoy." She said softly, her head down, holding the hand of Fred- no, George- no. Oh whatever. It doesn't matter anyway. Catherine looked up, her face entirely red. The Weasley twin to the left of her laughed. I jerked my head towards him. "What?" I asked. The twin answered mischievously, "George will hate me for this, but they were snogging right before you came, and Catherine's afraid you saw them." Catherine turned even redder. "FRED!" She yelled, punching his shoulder. I gulped. "Snogging? Doesn't that lead to…" Catherin was shaking with embarrassment. Fred laughed. "Would they seriously do that in the Great Hall? Wait- probably!" George glared at his brother while Catherine clenched her fists. "Fred. Weasley." She said in a demented, dark tone. "Don't you ever speak like that." I swear that her pupils were on fire. A real Slytherin. Oh, but no! She was a Gryffindor. Fred backed away. "Sorry Catherine! Geez!" George laughed and Catherine rested her head on George's shoulder and looked at me. "Oh yeah Draco. What did you want?" I put on a fake glare at her. "Nothing. Especially associated with you, Li." I walked back to the table, feeling stupid. Why was I rude? Now I have an even WORSE chance with her. I put my head in my hands as Parkinson chattered around me. Oh my god. Why won't she just shut up?
