After they found out there was a feather in this world, and Syaoran and Sakura left with Mokona to get supplies such as clothes and food Kurogane focused his red eyes on Fai. The man was playing with the dark man's shoelaces, untying and unlacing and tying together and untying and relacing. He was humming, that fake smile still there. Suddenly, Kurogane was reminded of earlier that day, and reached forwards to cup his chin and squeeze his cheeks. Fai was surprised, blinking bright eyes before making a fish face at him with a kissy noise.

"I'm going to teach you how to whistle," he growled, squeezing a little more to get him out of the fish face.

"But Kuro-piin, I've triied!"

"You'll try harder. Keep your mouth like that, and blow."

Fai did so, simply blowing warm air at his tanned face. They continued this for a little while, calloused hands changing the way his mouth was shaped. A few times in play, Fai made that silly 'hyuu' sound. Kurogane grit his teeth before showing him to curl his tongue and pucker his lips, whistling. This continued as well, for at least another hour, before Kurogane gave up.

"Lost cause. Idiot."

Fai pouted at him, going "hyuu" a little sadly, before leaning against him. He met some resistance, Kurogane shouldering at him to get away tiredly. Fai grinned a bit, snuggling his arm to his chest and becoming much like a leech.

"Thank you for trying, Kuro-sama."

A suspicious look was given, and its response was a rare, true smile, albeit those were always just a bit sad. Kurogane grunted and stopped fussing, crossing his arms even with the man attached to one. "Whatever."
