So this is my latest creation. I was just watching the ballroom scene on YouTube and wondered how it would have been if Robert hadn't gone back to dancing with Nancy. Hope you all enjoy it.

Dry Those Tears

As he looked into Giselle's eyes, Robert knew he was in love. He didn't want to ever let her go.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and reluctantly turned away from Giselle to face Nancy.

"Mind if I cut in?" Nancy said in an acidic tone.

After a moment's pause Giselle said "No, of course" in a voice that broke Robert's heart.

He was shaken from his daze by this and shook Nancy off. "Get away from me" he snapped. "Giselle" he called after her.

"Yes, Robert" Giselle said, turning back. Her eyes were brimming with tears.

"Don't cry, Giselle" he murmured softly, pulling her into his arms. "I want you" he whispered.

She smiled at him through her tears. "I hoped you would say that" she whispered back.

He kissed her very gently and carefully. He didn't know how long he kept kissing her, nor did he much care. But when they eventually broke it off he saw all eyes in the room were on them.

Most people had started applauding, but 3 people were not so jubilant. Nancy and Edward both looked quietly sad. The third person wore a look of absolute fury. But who was she? Robert had never seen her before.

"Hello, Giselle dear. Remember me?" she said menacingly.
