Chapter One: The Meeting

Ally's P.O.V

My name is Ally Dawson I'm 16-teen years-old I live in Miami and after this summer vacation I'm attending high school, so I'm almost a sophomore. The day there changed my life forever started out just like any other day;

I woke up early to get to Sonic Boom where I help my dad run the store. It is mostly me there is working in the store, my dad is around, but he never really works in the store, but it's okay I love being there anyway, I would properly be there even if I weren't working.

I woke up and start the day the same way I always do, I go to the kitchen to eat breakfast in my pajamas, today I decided to eat pancakes normally I don't really eat pancakes, but today I just really feel like it.

I go to the bathroom to get a shower and put on some mascara, and then I go to my room so I can get dressed, I look in my closet and I pick out a blue summer dress and put it on.

I look at the clock and realize that I should be in the store in a few, so I grab my songbook and get out of the door.

When I get to Sonic Boom I see that my dad for once have opened up the store, I'm kind of glad that he opened, that means I don't have to, opening the store is my least favorite part of working, but I like the rest.

I walk inside looking at my dad. "Hi dad, sorry I'm a little late today." I say with a smile.

"Oh it's okay sweetie, you always work so hard, so I guess it's okay." He says giving me a hug.

"Thanks dad." I say hugging him back.

"Hey Alls, can you take over here, so I can go pay some of our bills?" He asks almost out of the door.

"Sure dad, when will you be back?" I ask politely just wanting to know when I can expect him back.

"Thank you so much Alls, I'll be back by noon, so you can get your lunch-break there, okay?" He says walking out of the door.

"Okay that's fine dad, see you later then." I say walking behind the cash register.

"See you later, Alls." He says quickly disappearing out of sight, so now I'm on store watch.

It's still 8am, normally there won't be anyone here until 10pm so there should be quiet here for at least 2 hours. I walk towards the piano - one of my little secret passions is that I love music I play the piano and write songs in my song book - not that I show to anyone ever.

No one knows about it, I haven't even told my dad or my best friend Trish, I don't plan on telling anyone because I also have horrible stage fright, so I can't perform anyway and my dad believes that music is a waste of time, which is funny when he owns a music store. So he would never approve and I can't do it without his approval.

I sit down on the piano bench and look in my songbook while I decide that I might as well play piano for a while and enjoy the silence then I start to play one of the songs I recently wrote.

Austin's P.O.V

I'm Austin Moon I'm 16-teen years-old, I just moved to Miami with my parents, my best friend Dez and his family for high school and I'll be a sophomore once this summer is over.

I went to Miami mall to get to know this city just a little bit before school start. I finally see the mall, even though I've been there a couple of times don't mean that it's easier to find.

I walk around for a while when I hear a piano playing it sounds amazing I have to find out where it comes from, and then I notice a music store called Sonic Boom and I guess that it comes from there.

I walk in and see her; a beautiful girl who is playing the piano, she has beautiful brown hair and she is wearing a cute summer dress, my thoughts get interrupted when she starts to sing. I'm just standing there like I'm hypnotized by her by her voice;

"You Don't See Me"

I'm the girl in the corner of the room
The one you never notice
Getting lost among the stars in the sky
Like a picture out of focus
I'm the sun in your eyes
Yet, you don't see me
I wear no disguise
But you don't see me
I'm a total surprise
And you don't see me
I'm so agonized
That you don't see me
You don't see me

Yeah you don't see me

[x3]

Why, why, why?
Don't you open your eyes
to see me whoa whoa

I'm so hoping
that you see me
should I give you a sign
or just hope that
one day you realize
that I'm the sun in your eyes

Ally's P.O.V

I finish playing and smile for myself, suddenly I hear someone clapping I quickly turn around, and I see a really beautiful guy standing behind me and I know my life has changed forever. He has blonde hair and brown eyes; it's hard to resist just looking at him.

"Hi, I'm Austin Moon." He says sweetly then he notice that I'm staring at him and I respond maybe a little too quickly.

"Hi I'm Ally." I say sweetly before I ask the question in my head. "How long have you been standing there?" I ask wondering how long he had been standing there then he blushes.

"Well I was just outside when I heard you playing the piano, so I walked in here, you're really talented, did you write that by yourself?" He asks obviously impressed and I blush.

"Thank you, and yes I wrote that." I say proud and he walks towards me until he's standing in front of me, while smiling.

"Wow that's amazing, how come I've never heard you play before?" He asks curiously.

"I'm usually playing this early, when no one's here or I'm playing upstairs in my practice room." I say shyly.

"That's a shame, if you played your music doing the day I bet it would bring in a lot of new costumers." He says with a smirk.

"I don't think so, no one is supposed to hear it plus if I knew anyone was listening, then I wouldn't be able to play, because I have stage fright, no one knows about my music and a would like to keep it that way." I say begging that he won't tell anyone because my dad wouldn't like it.

"I'm sorry to hear that because I would love to hear you play, but if you want to keep it a secret then I won't say anything to anyone, it will be our secret." He says like he read my mind.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me" I say relived that he understand.

"No problem! I love music too, but I never told anyone either - I can play any instrument, but I mostly play guitar or piano." He says and I stare at him - could he be any more perfect?

"Really? That's awesome." I say happy that I finally met someone who like music as well.

"Yeah it is, but my problem is that I can't write a song, they are all terrible." He says clearly not happy about it and then a thought comes into my head 'hey I can write songs so maybe I could help'.

"If you want, then I could help you with your songwriting?" I offer him smiling.

"Really? You'll do that?" He asks excitedly and I smile by his reaction.

"Yeah of cause, I love writing songs and I'm just never gonna perform them anyway because of my stage fright." I say happy that I can help him.

"Cool, when do we start?" He says with the sweetest boyish smile I've ever seen and I completely melt on the inside.

"We can start tomorrow, if you like?" I say trying to keep it cool I mean I just met him I can't let him know that I'm attracted to him then I'll scare him away.

"Sure, that would be awesome, then I'll help you with you stage fright in return, so we can perform together one day." He says sweetly and I melt even more all I can think is that 'he's the sweetest guy ever with a heart made of gold'.

"I would like that." I say for once feeling hope about performing one day - like my mom did.

"So it's a deal?" He asks hopefully and I nod my head before responding.

"Yeah it's a deal" I finally say and then he did something I didn't see coming - he pull me in for a hug and not just any hug a real hug. I never felt this way hugging anyone before - I feel butterflies in my stomach - I feel sparks all over my body this moment right here was defiantly special though I just don't think that he felt it too.

"So do you work here, since you're here all alone?" He asks after we pulled apart.

"Yes well kinda because my dad owns this store, so you can say that I work here, do you live here in Miami?" I ask hoping that he does so that I can get to know him.

"Yeah, I just moved here with my parents a week ago, I've been trying to get to know this place since we moved here, but it easy to get lost in the mall." He confesses with a laugh and I giggle.

"You don't say! When I was a little girl I always got lost in the mall." I giggle before continuing. "If you like I could be your guide when my dad returns at noon?" I offer trying to find an excuse to spend some more time with him.

"That would be awesome, then I don't need a map to get around the mall." He laughs. "And then I'll buy lunch for us returning the favor." He says smiling with his boyish smile there almost makes me forget my own name.

"That sounds nice; you're welcome to hang around here in the store until my dad comes back for my lunch break." I offer not really wanting him to leave.

"I think I will do that, I'll take a look on some guitars in the meantime." He says walking over to the guitars.

"Okay, you can just call if you need help." I say politely walking back to the cash register.

"I'll do." He says looking at an electric guitar.

I'm standing in front of the cash register pretending to work; but instead I stare at Austin I don't even know him but I already like him.

This is something I dreamt of for years I'm so glad that is summer so that I don't have to go to school; I rather get to know Austin, now when I finally met one there loves music like I do.

I'm really looking forward to when my dad returns, so that I can go with Austin and before I know it I'm standing in a day dream about Austin.

I feel like it's been forever, normally when I'm working the time goes fast, but today it's different the only thing I can think about is Austin when my dad finally enters.

"Hi Alls, I'm back." He says walking over to me behind the cash register.

"Hi dad, I'm wondering if I can take the rest of the day off?" I ask hopefully.

"I guess that would be okay, is there a reason?" He asks a little suspicious.

"Yeah, I promised to show Austin who stands over there around in the mall, he just moved here." I say pointing to Austin who's still standing in the guitar section admiring the guitars.

"That's sweet of you Alls; you can go I'll see you at home then." He says giving me a hug.

"Thanks dad, I'll see you later."I say walking over to Austin who apparently overheard the conversation I had with my dad and is now walking towards me with a big smile on his face.

"Hey Austin I'm ready to go now." I say when I'm standing right in front of him.

"I'm happy to hear that, so where do we go first?" He says with eyes full of joy and excitement.

"I was thinking we could go to the Melody dinner, I always liked being there, the waitress sings to the costumers, what do you think about that?" I say excitedly.

"That sound awesome, I didn't even know there was one of those here." He says while we're walking out of Sonic Boom.

We arrive at the Melody dinner and walk inside the restaurant. "Wow this place is awesome." He says looking around.

"Yeah it is, it's my favorite place in the whole mall and the food is amazing." I say hoping he'll like it as much as I do.

"I can see why." He says clearly impressed by the cafe. We choose a table and a waitress starts singing the menu to us.

"I'm Cassidy and I'll be your waiter; I can serve you our super cup salad or a special burger and fries." She sings while Austin and I look impressed at each other.

"I'll take the cup salad." We say at the same time before bursting into a laughter.

"Coming right up." She says politely before walking away.

"Thanks." We both say again at the same time.

"So I was wondering, how long have you been writing songs?" He asks turning his attention to me.

"Ever since I was 5 years old, how long have you been playing guitar?" I ask curiously.

"Wow that's a long time, I've been playing guitar since my parents gave me one when I was 3 years old." He says and I can't help but think that he must be really talented.

"That's awesome, I'm looking forward to hear you play guitar tomorrow." I say honestly.

"Here is your cup salad." Cassidy says handing us the food.

"Thanks Cassidy." We both say at the same time once again. We sat at the table where we were eating and talking for hours, before we decided to go home.

"Can I walk you home?" He says politely after we walk out of the cafe.

Ally: "Yes I would like that." I say blushing and we start to walk to my house.

"I'm really looking forward to tomorrow." He says looking at me with his boyish smile.

"So am I, then we'll write our first song together." I say exited about writing a song with him and not alone as I usually do.

"Yeah, that's going to be awesome." He says smiling at me as we arrive at my house.

"This is me, you do know how to get home from here right?" I ask concerned.

"Yeah, it actually not far from my house." He says smiling.

"Really? Where do you live?" I ask happy that he lives close by.

"Just across the street." He says pointing to his house.

"That was really close to my house." I say unable to hide my happy smile.

"Yeah, it's nice and we'll be able to see each other often, where do we meet tomorrow?" He says happily.

"How about you meet me in Sonic Boom around 10am tomorrow?" I ask hoping he'll say yes so we'll have a whole day again tomorrow.

"Okay, that sounds perfect; can I get your number so I'll be able to call you?" He asks with his boyish smile that I can't resist.

"Yeah sure, here you go, so see you tomorrow?" I ask handing him a piece of paper with my number on it.

"Yes we do, I'm already looking forward to it." He says with a big smile and then Austin gives me a hug, it was a real hug once again, it's only with Austin that I felt like this when someone hugged me, it was nice and it made it impossible for me not to smile.

"See you later Austin." I say opening my front door.

"Bye Ally, see you later." He says as he start to walk across the street to his own house and when I got inside I suddenly feel how tired I really am, so I decided to go to bed, so that I would be fresh tomorrow.
