Namine lightly tapped her foot against the gym floor as she watched Roxas doing the instructed stretching demanded by the phys ed. teacher. Roxas's best friend, Axel, already finished with the warm-up, was talking to Roxas, no doubt conspiring to make trouble. Axel was the class clown after all. Namine didn't like Axel much, thinking him to be a bad influence on Roxas. The band holding her ponytail together let a few stray wisps escape, falling into her pale blue eyes. An impatient sigh to her right alerted her to her sister's impatience.
The redhead next to her was similar to her in body build and shape, which made sense since they were twins.
Kairi suddenly cleared her throat, and Namine inclined her head to the side to show she was listening despite still looking at Axel and Roxas.
"Um, . . . Namine, uh . . . ," Kairi sounded nervous and apprehensive, the stuttering only adding to that fact. "I've been hearing certain things."
Namine rolled her eyes, feeling a bit exasperated with Kairi's nervousness.
"Yes?" she put stress on the word, trying to get Kairi to just spit it out.
Kairi clenched her fists and finally spit it out. What came out of her mouth made Namine wish she had never demanded to know what Kairi was so hesitant to say to her. When she heard, the shock was enough that her whole body went numb.
"Roxas is gay for Axel," Kairi practically shouted, causing half the gym to turn their way, including Axel and Roxas.
The last thought Namine had before fainting was, 'Holy crap!'
