A Dozen Floating Daisies'

Love seems surprising when it happens, I'm guessing that's because it always pops up when you least expect it to. Why is that, do you think? Is it because it wants to be a surprise or is it trying to say something. Something like, if you wait long enough, good things will come to you? Good things come to those who wait, that's the saying, isn't it? Well, in most cases, I'm sure that's true enough but in this case, it most certainly is not.

Harmony Parks was your average 14 year old girl. Around 5"5 in height, not fat but not perfect body type either. She was a ballerina for ten years and was just going into her sophomore year of High School when she got her first real boyfriend.

His name was Kane Hanway, he was a few months older but in the same grade and it took Harmony a long time to get him to ask her out but once things finally happened as she had always planned, minus the cute fairytale stories, she became slightly disappointed. Love wasn't what she had always expected it to be. It was full of confusion and constant worrying about if Kane was loyal or not. He had been going over to his ex-girlfriends quite a bit lately, and Harmony was not pleased.

One day Harmony went for a walk to the Local pond to relax and think some things over. Things like her chaotic love life. As she sat down on the top of a picnic table and looked over the water, she realized there were a bunch of Daisies growing by her feet. She reached down and picked some and began to toss them in the water around all the swimming fishes, until she picked one Daisy that seemed more perfect then the rest. She decided to do something she hadn't done since she was a child, "He loves me, He loves me not." One by one she picked off the snow white petals and let them descend to her lap. Finally, she had gotten to the last Petal. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. As she gently opened her eyes again, she noticed something slowly sneaking out from behind the petal…another one. "he loves me not…HE LOVES ME!"
