A/N: This story is loosely based off a conversation I had with my mom. Yep. Anywho, thank you for reading my story, it means a lot to me, so, yeah, thanks.
And I have no idea what Rose would actually read, so I just put the first two I thought of down, so sorry if my selections seem a bit odd.

It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and at a small cafe everybody was talking and laughing. Except for three sitting at a small outdoor table.
Edward, Alphonse and Rose sat at said table, occasionally taking sips from their drinks, and wondering why on Earth they thought this lunch date was a good idea.
The silence was painfully awkward and just slightly unnerving. Finally, Alphonse decided to try to break the silence.
"So," he started, turning towards Rose, "what's your favorite book?"
Rose looked thoughtful for a moment, then replied, "I don't really know. There are so many good books out, like 'Twilight' and 'Shiver'." She out her fore finger to her mouth. After a minute or two, her eyes started to light up, "Oh, I know! The Bible!" Rose smiled, obviously very proud of herself, looking between Edward and Alphonse.
Alphonse nodded, caught off guard by the girls response, "That's nice, I suppose. It's a very, uh, holy book?" He gave an awkward smile before busing himself with his napkin.
Edward, however, was very unimpressed and had no problem showing his distaste. His facial expression was something between annoyed and amused.
Rose noticed his sudden mood change and began to worry. Was his coffee bad? Did he need to use the restroom? Had there been a hair in his salad? Rose had to know what was wrong with her friend. "Edward, are you okay?"
The man in question took a drink of his coffee, sat the mug down on the coaster, then looked Rose in the eyes.
"Way to be a suck up, Rose."
