AN: I own Ionana and Aldidi... but the others are up for grabs. I'm joking, they belong to Aki, of course. Everyone knows it.

It was deep deep night. With all creatures big and small tucked comfortably into their beds. Something was coming.

The darkness and silence were broken by the bright streak arcing across the sky at unbelievable speeds, drawing attention from the night dwelling Pekoponians and aliens alike. Something was coming.

Aliens looking up at the light recognized it as a craft. Not just any craft, but a craft from a fearsome species of aliens. Known far and wide as conquerors, merciless in their quest for domination of planets with resources that would support their own expansion, their arrival was cause for concern. They were coming.

Unbeknownst to them, several of those aliens were already present on the planet. They too, had seen the craft. You might think that the sight of a craft from home would bring them joy. This assumption could not be further from the truth, and they approached the craft cautiously, ready to do what was necessary. They had come.

The hardened vet took aim from the frontlines, waiting for the crew to emerge. The assassin lurked in the shadows, prepared to do his part, yet fervently hoping it would not be necessary. Private and Intelligence Officer flanked the vet on either side. One waiting to try out his new invention while the other prepared energy for a devastating blast.

As for the courageous leader of these troops? The one entrusted to valiantly lead them into battle against a new and possibly dangerous enemy? He was at home...playing with his Gundam models in their secret base at the Hinata house. Keronians had come.

As the smoke cleared from the control room, the two Keronians manning the ship picked themselves up, and checked on extremities.

Due to the less than ideal landing, they had been violently thrown upon the uncomfortable control panels in front of their stations. The violet colored individual looked around for the other, while taking in the damage to the ship.

"Aldidi? Are you alright?"

A teal Keronian, presumably Aldidi, popped up from her location on the floor. "I'm fine, Ionana!"

The Keronian known as Ionana cracked her neck. "Good. Can't have you getting injured." She folded her arms, "that would likely be one of the worst both beginnings and endings of a mission in the history of missions."

Aldidi rolled her eyes and laughed. "You exaggerate. It wouldn't be that bad."

Ionana leaned against the console and raised one eyebrow. "Oh, you don't think so? We set out for Pekopon, our navigational systems go haywire, we crash land somewhere, and you're dead. My superiors would have my hide!"

Aldidi pouted, "You wouldn't be upset that I had died?"

Ionana frowned at her. "You know what I mean." Sudden comprehension seemed to dawn on the purple Keronian. "Wait a minute...you were touching the navigational systems..."

Aldidi grew nervous at the tone. "I am perfectly capable of manning the navigational systems! You know that!" She rubbed the back of her neck and laughed, "Just because I haven't done it since I was trained in school doesn't mean…"

Ionana interrupted, glancing around again, "You said you were still certified" She turned to the blue-green girl and began to glare. "This is your fault. If we are on some deserted planet, in the middle of an unknown galaxy, so help me-!" A noise from outside saved Aldidi from Ionana's growing ire.

"Hello!" Tamama's voice rang through the small craft. "We are using our communication systems so you should be able to hear us now! This is Private Tamama, and we want to meet with you."

Ionana turned and looked at the speaker and then back to Aldidi again. She sighed. "Just open the door." Aldidi promptly pressed a button on her control panel and waited. Ionana raised a brow. "Nothing happened." Aldidi pressed the button again, and again, and again. "It...won't open..." Ionana's brow twitched.

"WHAT?!" The Keronians outside the ship cringed at the volume of the voice. They would have been able to hear it without the communication systems. They crowded around the small window in the door to see if they could get a view of what was going on. The sound alone wasn't enough.

"What do you mean 'it won't open'!?"

A loud clanging near the door made them shrink back an inch or two. "Get back here! This is your fault!"

"It was an accident! It's not my fault!"

"Then stop running away!" There was a dull thump and a scrabbling noise.

"No! You'll kill me! Hey you! Outside! Get the door open!" There was more banging, and the outside keronians looked at each other before attempting to pull the door open.

"Air ducts aren't allowed for hiding!"

"Tomahawks aren't allowed for throwing!"

"What else are they good for then?!"

"Uh...opening cans?"

"... ... ...GET DOWN HERE!"

"Please hurry!"

The Pekoponian friends to the Keronians arrived just as those outside began trying to get the door open.

Dororo attacked it with his sword. Giroro blasted at it with his weapons. Tamama let loose an impact at it. Nothing made a dent. Kululu stood off to the side laughing. "Kukuku...of course those weapons won't work. The hull was designed to withstand nearly any form of attack."

Natsumi folded her arms, "What are you stupid frogs doing?"

Tamama answered for the platoon. "There are some Keronians inside. We are trying to open the door."

After watching for a few more minutes, Saburo stepped up. "Well, as interesting as watching this "rescue" has been, I'd say we wrap it up before the Keronians inside kill each other."

He pulled out his pen and drew a door with a handle on the hull next to the original. He grabbed the handle and pulled, dropping it onto the ground and taking a step back to stand with the others.

The tension grew as the seconds passed.

A blue green head with a celtic knot on its brow emerged first. "Ionana! We're here!" She jumped out and turned to face the ship, grinning.

Shortly after, a purple keronian with a yin-yang symbol exited. She turned around and examined the door. "Interesting. Most likely technology made by Sargent Major Kululu yes?" She turned and stared at the yellow Keronian.

Aldidi followed her gaze and her jaw dropped and she pointed. "You're my toy!"

"..."

The summer cicadas took their chance to make the most beautiful music they could during the long, awkward pause that followed.

Aldidi tugged on the flaps of her hat. "They were giving them away at the mall for free…" She murmured. "I had no idea they were based off of anyone."

Ionana rolled her eyes before walking over to Giroro and saluting. "Corporal Giroro. Ionana and Aldidi reporting for duty."

Giroro folded his arms. "You're kidding right? What are you, medics?"

Aldidi blinked in surprise and Ionana's eyebrow twitched, "You would think you of all keronians would know how deadly it can to underestimate someone." She said while eyeing his scar.

Aldidi stepped forward to interject, "Are you…were you unaware of our impending arrival?"

Giroro stared before narrowing his eyes. "What are your ranks?" He finally asked after a long pause.

"I am a Lance Çorporal, while Aldidi is a recruit." Ionana replied.

Giroro raised an eyebrow and looked at Aldidi. "A recruit?"

Aldidi shrugged, "I'm not really into the whole...military thing, to tell you the truth."

Giroro dropped his arms. "Then, why are you here?"

Aldidi shrugged and replied, "I believe I have some skills that the military finds useful. That being the case, despite our supposedly advanced civilization, we still apparently draft on occasion when the need arises."

Ionana glanced around, acknowledging each member of the platoon. "Sargent Major Kululu, Private First Class Tamama, Lance Corporal Dororo." She paused and turned to Giroro. "Where is Sargent Keroro? The two of us should report for duty"

Giroro growled and rolled his eyes, "He's probably at our base."

Ionana nodded. "Altering the invasion plan, no doubt. Come on, Aldidi. Let's go."

Dororo turned to look at Ionana as she walked past him. "Do you know where you are going?"

Ionana turned to him. "Of course, Lance Çorporal. I have the base coordinates." She held up a small, handheld locator.

Dororo stopped and nodded. Aldidi smiled. "Thanks anyways Dororo-kun."

Ionana glanced at the pekoponians gathered at the scene. Natsumi was fuming. "No way! The stupid frogs are NOT coming to my house! Do you realize how many aliens are already in my house!? No way, no how am I going to let any more in!"

Ionana frowned, "Learn your place. If your dwelling houses the base, that is a high honor. When Pekoponians are fully enslaved, you will be treated well."

Natsumi slowly turned to glare down at the purple frog, "Enslaved...?"
