memo: This doujinshi writing begins before Kabuto is introduced in the series, so nobody in Konoha but him knows he's a spy from Kirigakure (Hidden sound village). Please keep this in mind.

Disclaimer: 99 of the characters are from Naruto, and, therefore, belong to Masashi Kishimoto, not me.

Claimer: Of the characters introduced in this epilogue, only Tayucako is mine.

The summer sun gleamed brightly in Konoha. The grasses swayed peacefully as two children, one girl and one boy, ran joyously through the feild, playing tag. The girl's shoulder-legnth hair shimmered in the golden light. Her giggling face revealed a dimple on her right cheek, not far from her peach-red lips and highlighting her twinkling blue eyes. Her pink skirt was accented with flowers and on her white shirt was a Kinoha leaf in front of her heart. Her blue shinobi sandals matched those of the boy chasing her. His gray, v-neck shirt showed a hint of a fish-net shirt underneath and his blue shorts where plain. The sun's light glared off of his thick, black glasses and his silver hair, tied into a low ponytail, shined dully in the sun. Their parent stood off to the side. The girl's parents, the fourth hokage and his wife, hed generously given their good looks to her, while the boy showed no resemblence to his adopted father, one of Konoha's best medical-nin. The boy tagged the girl.

As the girl turned to chase the boy, the boy yelled to the adults, "We'll be right back!"

The parents smiled their approval, but the girl was confused. She asked, "Where are we going, Kabuto-kun?" while chasing him.

Kabuto, the silver-haired young boy, grinned greatly and answered simply, "You'll see, Tayu-chan!'

kabuto led Tayucako, the golden-haired beauty, into the nearby forest. The ended up at a grassy cliff, covered in lilies of the valley, Tayucako's favorite flowers. The sun was starting to set, leaving the sky to the west in a plethora of pinks and oranges, predicting that the next day would be a hot one.

"K-Kabuto-kun, this place is so pretty!" Tayucako's eyes dazzled at the sight.

Kabuto took Tayucako's hand in his and led her towards the cliff's edge, keeping her several feet from it. She blushed slightly. She took some time to get used his hand holding hers. kabuto explained the trip, "I found this place just recently. I knew that lilies of the valley were your favorite flowers..." His voiced trailed, fighting sadness and trying to stay calm. "You're going away for a while soon, right?"

"Right..." Tayucako said, remembering that she told Kabuto about her friends in the Village Hidden in the Sun and how they needed another team member to have a full team.

Kabuto continued, "I...wanted to let you know...I.." He gave her a peck on the cheek, quickly said "Good luck!" whith tears waiting at the corners of his eyes, and ran off towards the adults, using the path they took to get there.

Tayucako gently touched her kissed cheek and blushed. She slowly walked back through the path after several minutes. When she reached the clearing, her parents were there, waiting patiently. Kabuto and his adopted father had left. Night had fallen and Tayucako left with her parents to pack for her trip the next day.
