I don't know how to live in this world and face all the choices…if everything just gets stripped away.

Violetta Rayne, often referred to Vie or Vee, knew she couldn't stay with England when he busied himself with other things. It almost made her feel like she had watched the only person who would ever love her get their heart cut out by her good-for-nothing uncle Ethan Rayne. England had advised her not to wander out into the forest late at night. However when she looked back through the door she could still hear him arguing with America over something or another, she didn't care anymore. Closing the door quietly (and thanking the Powers That Be that the door didn't squeak as usual) she decided to wander around in the forest. The further she got in the more she thought she was lost until she saw a very familiar house. So she continued walking towards it when she heard a somewhat familiar voice (minus the implied sarcasm) yell,

"Violetta~ ! Where are you~ ?"

She blinked and muttered,

"Did I just see a heart at the end of those sentences?"

Going against her better judgment (and the voice that screamed, Turn around dumb b**ch!) she kept walking forward until she was met with a man who looked eerily similar to England albeit with a few key differences. First of all his hair was a very light pink. The second, and most noticeable, was he was wearing a big grin. The last one was his eyes, they were blue and if she looked closer she would have seen a bit of pink in them as well.

"There you are~! I've been looking all over for you~!"

She blinked confused as he walked closer.

"Oh dear, I thought I had lost you and that would have been very terrible."

"Come on, hun," she replied her vocal tic coming back (oh how she hated it), "Why would you lose me?"

He smiled wider (if that was at all possible) and continued,

"Well, if you wanna torture someone Ethan's down in the basement~!"

This comment made Violetta smile brightly at the thought of cutting out Ethan's heart. Feeling her spirits lift she skipped back to the house. She never saw the slight insane look in her lover's eyes and the sickingly sweet smile he wore at her happiness. After watching her for a few moments he followed her into the house. As soon as she entered the house she smelled freshly baked cupcakes.

"Smells so good in here," she said to herself.

"Of course it does, dear~," Arthur said from behind her, "I made some special cupcakes just for you~!"

Violetta smiled and followed him into the kitchen very much liking this new Arthur.

"Do you miss him?"

Violetta looked at Arthur surprised at the random question.

"What?"

"The other me that you left. Do you think he noticed you left?"

"I expect he..."

Arthur looked at her as her words died in her throat, the sudden realization that England may not have loved her sinking in.

"I don't know anymore. But honestly I kinda like all the attention you give me... it's nice to feel like someone actually gives a crap about me."

"Oh dear," he cooed hugging her while running his finger in random patterns on her back, "You have me now~. No need to worry anymore~."

The more she thought the more it made sense that England (she would refer to this one as Arthur) didn't actually love her like he said. Then again she was used to being lied to so the pain that should be in her heart was only a very dull prick, like when you get a sliver in your finger, painful at first and then nothing's left to feel. She now seemed hyper aware of everything around her. It was almost as if someone flipped a switch in her brain and turned all her senses on high.

"Come now, dear. We mustn't let the cupcakes get too cold."

Violetta nodded and followed Arthur into the kitchen.
