A Hatter's Hat
Disclaimer- I do not own Alice in Wonderland, Hatter, Alice or Chessur. If I did Alice would stay in Underland and marry Tarrant.
AN- This idea popped into my head while I was deciding what hat to wear tonight. And by being as mad as a hatter, well Tarrant Hightopp Hatter mad.
"What kind of hat should I wear?
One that fits
One that sits,
One that fits and sits
One that's tall
One that's small
One that's big
One that's made of a fig
What kind of hat should a hatter wear?
One of his own making would be only proper
A hat that's not a hat, that would not work at the ball
But to be a hatter's hat it must be
All these things and even more
For a hatter will make
The perfect hat for all
Even if it's just for a silly old ball"
Alice laughed at the Hatter's poem about trying to find a hat, after all he had so many. Watching Tarrant run around his hat making room looking for the hat that was already on his head.
"Tarrant," Alice said loudly watching his eyes turn from the angry orange to the brilliant green that she loved to stare at when they were alone together.
"I'm fine," he whispered looking over at her and smiling his thanks. "Where would I be without you, my lovely Alice."
"Lost and hatless, but still just the wonderful mad hatter that I fell I love in with," she told him, walking over to him and giving him a hug.
"I love you, my wonderful, Alice full of muchness," he told her kissing her gently;" we still need to find my hat for the ball."
"Silly hatter, the hat you want is on your head," she said looking at the top of his head," oh dear, it disappeared."
"Chessur, that dirty, rotten, no good, disappearing feline of a …," Hatter yelled, his eyes turning orange and his face getting darker.
"Tarrant, it's okay," she told him holding his face in her hands," we'll get that cat and get your wonderful hat back."
"Do I hear someone yelling about me and my wonderful new hat," Chessur purred appearing over Alice's shoulder with Hatter's hat on his head.
"Give me my hat you little guddler's scut, "Tarrant yelled at Chess trying to hit him.
"Now, now, Tarrant we wouldn't want your hat to get harmed," Chess told him appearing upside- down by the ceiling holding the precious hat in his paws.
"Riddle me this, riddle me that, I have a riddle for you the evil Cheshire cat. If you can answer my riddle Chess you keep Tarrant's hat. If you don't you give it back and never try to steal it again," Alice said looking up at him.
"A riddle for me, but only the hatter likes riddles I'm just a cat. But if I must I will, what is this riddle of yours, "Chessur asked coming closer to the pair.
"What is green and has wheels," Alice asked simply.
"Well I have no idea, so I guess I must give up the beautiful hat. Farewell for now," Chess told them disappearing.
"Alice, what is the answer to your riddle," hatter asked putting his hat back on his head.
"You'll just have to figure it out, my dear Tarrant," Alice said giving him a kiss.
AN- If you know the answer I will give you the hatter's hat, just kidding I would never give that up.
