It happened on a Tuesday. The day Sam joined the ranks of hunters.
John parked near the river and took Dean down to the lakeshore to shoot off a pea-shooter. Three year old Sam was left in the back of the Impala.
Absorbed by the comic book found under the seat, he never saw the form rise from the water. Only when the icy fingers gripped his shirt and pulled him out the window, did Sam react.
Screaming, he fought, but was only a weakling against the lake-selkie.
Dean shot the creature from twenty yards when he heard the screams.
