I haven't written a new story in so long. Don't know how well this will turn out, but I love Naruto series and decided to write some drabble. Each chapter will be random, but set in the same universe.

Being Hokage means that I protect the village and know the ins and outs as well, but knowing a lot doesn't mean I know everything.

Sasuke and Boruto are currently on a trip in another village. Sasuke wouldn't tell me what they were up too, but he just promised that Boruto wouldn't die and walked away. Even after being together for a few years, that man enjoys keeping his secrets and who am I to ask unnecessary questions that will get a smirk as a reply.

Boruto just became a chunin, so I;m guessing Sasuke wanted to celebrate with him. Also, he'll be able to call Sasuke "dad" outside of village lines. He'll end up gloating to Himawari about it, but I'll make it up to her by giving her some one on one time.

The moon is out and I often like to reminisce when it is at its highest point in the sky.

I'm sitting at the dinner table in my pajamas with a cup of tea in front of me and loving every minute of it. I take a sip and enjoy the warmth that is flowing into my body for a moment. I place the cup down and stare at the Team 7 picture on the window sill.

A lot has happened. Kakashi is retired and living with Iruka. Sakura is still married to Sasuke, but only through paper. She is currently with Ino and Sai and they all are pretty happy together. And me….the current Hokage and father of three and lover to an ex village enemy.

I begin to feel cold on this summer's night as I think of a vital person whom I haven't spoken to in a while.

Hinata.

Hinata and I are on agreeable terms due to the children, but our friendship is nonexistence. I thread my fingers threw my hair and rest my hand on my neck. See this is why being alone for long periods suck. I feel like sending a toad to tell Sasuke to hurry up his trip, but I don't want a toad to return with injuries.

My chair squeaks as I push out of it. The cup makes a small sound as it falls into the sink. I silently shuffle to the bedroom and turn the air condition up on my way.

The bed welcomes me with open arms and I pray for a safe return of my boys.

A week later, I walk out of my house in my Hokage robes when I notice a garden snake on the last step. Snakes are often showing up to my home since Sasuke moved in and I keep snake treats on me as a result. I reach into my pocket to give it a few crickets when it slithers away. My eyebrows raise in confusion, but then a hand lands on my hip.

"Hello"

Sasuke. My mind speaks.

I lay my hand upon his.

"No response?"

I turn my head to make ice contact with him.

He kisses me gently. I feel bliss flow through me.

"Sasuke…"

"Hmm" He responds.

"I have to go"

"No you don't." His hair tickles my nose as he shakes his head.

"Why don't I?" I say as I turn in his arm to face him.

"I told Shikamaru that you would be late today" Also meaning, I wasn't going to work today.

I sigh to acknowledge his answer. "Where is Boruto?"

"He is with his team" His hand begins to caress my spine.

"Okay" I say because my mind is on Sasuke mode right now.

He kisses my forehead. "Let's go inside, Naruto" His smooth voice glides into my ear.

His warm hand grabs mine and he brings it to his lips. I kiss his knuckles at the same time and close my eyes knowing what this gesture always means.

I love you.
