Prompt: 23 May 2008; Who can love you and still be standing?

Summary: Vriska doesn't know the meaning of companionship.

Vriska, like all trolls, knows that her life depends on being able to fill the buckets held by the imperial drones when they come calling. She needs a kismesis and a matesprit, and she also knows she should have a moirail and an auspice, too. Vriska knows all of this.
She has never been able to keep a relationship going. Every time she asked Kanaya to be her auspitice, the relationship fell through. Kanaya was now her Moirail, but Vriska would have to be blind, deaf, and dumb to not realize that Fussyfangs was interested in a more flushed relationship—so she pushed Kanaya away by pursuing other people for that role. Vriska killed Tavros after she crippled him, kissed him, and snapped at him for trying to kiss her. She didn't think enough of Eridan to accept him as her kismesis. She's even using John Egbert rather than interacting with him only for his sake. Eventually he'll realize this and walk away from her, but it will be because of something she says or does. Sweet Jegus, she even blinded Terezi, her sister scourge, and made Sollux kill Aradia.
Vriska knows she sabotages her relationships. She's a 'huge bitch bluh bluh', as the others say, but she encourages that. She embraces that label. She is a huge bitch—spider-bitch, as Vantas would say. She doesn't mind. Not one little bit. After all, it's not like she needs to fill buckets anymore, right?
So why should she care if she's "alone"? Everything will be fine, because she chose this for herself.
Vriska sabotages her relationships because she can't imagine not being alone.
