Arthur sta on the chair in Gaius' workplace with a painful whimper. His leg hurted. He was running down the stairs when he stumbled and fell. Now he had some bruises and his left leg couldn't sustain his weight and hurted like hell. Uther had to transport him to Gaius.
- So Gaius? Is it broken? - the king asked.
- It is, children's bones are very easy to break. But I can repair it - Gaius watched the six-years-old prince. He was very quite for his age, he already knew how to stand pain.
- Thank you Gaius. And you Arthur, you cannot run on the stairs, understood? -
- Yes, Father - Arthur answered. He wanted to sob, his leg hurted terribly, but he knew he had to act strong in front of his father. He wanted him to be proud.
- Alright prince, now I have to repair your leg. It'll hurt a bit, but then you'll be fine, ok? -
- Yes - Gaius cautiously put his hands on Arthur's leg. He applied force and re-put the bones in their place. Arthur let out a whine. He felt the tears, but crying would disappoint Uther. So he forced himself to not complain.
- We're done. Don't run and walk the less you can for a while - Gaius said. Arthur nodded and looked up to Uther. His father was smiling.
- Good boy, Arthur - he said. Arthur smiled too.
- Do you want to stand up? - Gaius asked. Arthur nodded and standed. He felt his leg hurt again. "C'mon Arthur, you'll be the king one day, bear some pain" he thought.
- Are you alright? - Gaius asked.
- Of course - then Gaius gave him the look. Not a look, The Look, the one in which he raises an eyebrow and stares at you. Arthur never recived The Look before.
- Father, he's scary! - both Gaius and Uther started to laugh when the little prince almost jump, risking his leg to injury again, and hidden behind Uther's mantel.
