Stephenie Meyer Owns All.

Chapter One.

Jasper and I walked hand in hand down the hallway towards the rest of our family, ready to say our goodbyes. His hand visibly tightened on mine as we approached the others who were clearly separated into two groups, ready to take us our separate ways.

"Jasper…" I stopped, tugging on his hand so that he would turn and face me, just out of hearing range of the others.

"Do we really have to do it this way?" I asked, my voice small and frightened at the thought of not being able to talk to him, let alone see him, for the next twenty four hours.

He crouched to my level, his nose only mere centimetres away from my own, and spoke in that smooth voice I loved ever so much.

"Alice Darlin', you'll be alright. I promise you that as soon as you are wrapped up in your preparation you won't have a spare second to miss me." He smiled at me weakly and I knew he was only trying to make me feel better. It wasn't working and he knew it. I looked down at my feet to calm the sobs that were working their way up my throat and he sighed quietly, making a quick decision to cancel the whole thing.

"NO!" I cried, my head snapping up to look him in the eyes and, hopefully, give him an evil glare.

He chuckled to himself and placed a feather light kiss on the top of my nose, his hands undoing the buttons on his shirt as he did so.

"Jasper what are you doing?" I asked curiously, not looking for anything as Edward had ever so politely asked me to do.

"Making the next twenty four hours that little bit more bearable for you." He replied, shrugging the shirt off and wrapping it around my shoulders, doing up the top button so I was wearing it cape style.

"You look after that. I want it back in one piece. It is, after all, my favourite shirt." He added with a smile, leaning down to kiss me passionately.

We weren't usually this intimate in front of others, but today seemed to be a day for making exceptions.

Flashback.

"Jazz, isn't it traditional to wait till after the wedding to do this?" I gasped, slightly taken aback at his forcefulness.

"Yes, but if I am not going to be able to see you for the next twenty four hours I want to make the last one perfect." He replied, kissing my neck as his hands travelled down the sides of my body. I wrapped my arms around his neck and used it as leverage to lift myself up and wrap my legs around his waist, grinding myself against him.

A strangled groan escaped his throat and I moved my hand in between us, reaching for the zipper on his trousers…

End of flashback.

"Alice?! EARTH TO ALICE!" My niece Renesme cried, tugging on my arm as I watched Edward drag Jasper towards the door.

"Alright Nessie. Let's go." I sighed, taking her hand and letting her lead me towards the others who were waiting impatiently for me to get a move on. I cast one last glance over at Jasper and our eyes met as he flashed me a reassuring smile before being dragged out of the door and my line of sight. I took a deep breath and moved ahead, getting sighs of relief from the others. What did they think I was going to do? Chicken out? No. We were going to be alright. We always were.
